I dance with Charmie Latte, the designer for Crave. She is very quiet about her talents and I think it is time to expose them. She puts so many hours into creating and mastering each piece. She had come to me one day with a question with one of her outfits and I was amazed when I put it on. The fit and textures are always to the utmost quality. The fit is perfect and her personality shines through each piece. These two pieces I am wearing in this post are jus a few of the many she does and let's get over to her store and show her some love so she will continue to create. Do Good, Look Good.

As you might have heard, there is a fundraising drive going on in SL to help the victims of the Australian BrushFires. These fires have devastated the country, wiping towns completely off the map, killing hundredes and leaving even more homeless. One of the great things about SL is our ability to come together and raise money for a cause, and this time is no different. There are donation boxes set up in various places across the grid, and several content creators have made special items for this event, with all proceeds going to the Austrailan Red Cross to help disaster victims. So to do my part, I thought I'd go out and snag a few of the items and show them to you here.

Shelly Toonie of Moonshine Designs has created a very special item called Victoria, a stunning little silver and black dress. I love the bell shaped skirt and ruffles. The corset lacing down both sides of the skirt gives it a unique look. Black prim bows adorn the waist while the top is simple, yet elegant with nice details here and there. It's quite the demure little dress, so of course I had to go in the direction of Gothic Lolita by pairing it with the MeriJayne II hair from ETD and an Ankh necklace from Caroline's. Demure, however, is one thing I'm really not, so I made this look a bit edgier with the addition of some piercings, the torn fishnet thigh high stockings from Street Magic, and the Basic Boots from WRONG.

As much fun as I had creating a look for this dress, I have to say that my favorite thing about it is the color and texture. It's a brilliant shade of silver, and the texture is simply gorgeous. Of course, versatility is key which is why I like dresses like this. You could go demure, Gothic Lolita, Vintage.

Dress it up or down any number of ways according to your own style. You'll probably have a lot of fun playing with the different looks you can create. It's well worth the 225L. And remember that all proceeds go to help the victims of the fires in Australia.

One of my favorite pose stores is Long Awkward Pose, and Dove Swanson has created a special item just for this fundraising drive. Safe From Below is a pretty little rainbow with clouds all around it. Each prim (four in total) has several different poses in it; some static and some animated. I threw it up in the sky above MDR and snapped a few pics. Since each prim has its own poses, you can put multiple people on this. It's definitely a fun prop to have for picture taking.

Moggs Oceanlane has a list running of all the creators offering special items and the various other events surrouding the drive on her blog, which you can find here. Online donations can be made to the Australian Red Cross here.

Oh, and speaking of great things to have in your photographic arsenal, (though its' not part of the fundraising drive), I took pictures two and four using the FilterCam HUD by MechanizedLife. This thing is really fantastic. You attach it to your HUD and get all these great filters to use for taking photos. I found it very simple to use with a drop down menu to choose the filters and a very thorough set of directions; you really should check it out. It has a ton of textures preloaded, but you can add your own as well. And, it comes with free updates so anytime new filters are added, you'll get them too. The FilterCam HUD adds that little extra something to your photos. You can get it at their store here or check out the website at MechanizedLife.com.

Digital Egyptian

Digital Alchemy opened today, and the first thing I did upon signing in tonight was tp over there and check it out. I wanted to see the Runway show, but daytime events are almost impossible for me to attend during the week. I was impressed by the wide variety of special items available; items the designers created specifically for this Egyptian themed event.

I love Egyptian mythology and art, so I expected to find at least one thing I liked here, and when I came upon the Eternal Nefartari dress by Shai Delacroix of Casa del Shai, I knew I'd have to buy it. The only decision was color, and I finally settled on the beautifully Egypitan Blue and Gold version.

Eternal Nerfertari is a gown befitting a Goddess, or in this case a Queen. The texture is simply stunning. The sheer top is made to look like you're wearing liquid gold, and I love the combination of it being worn over the colored undershirt. The dress has a gorgeous royal blue band around the waist, and the same material can be seen crisscrossed on the back.

Of course, the little touches are what make a creation go from wow to WOW, and this piece definitely has it. From the armbands that match the blue of the undershirt, to the Egyptian letters along the waistband and above the sash, this amazing gown has it all. It even comes with arm bands to help with the ever daunting task of accessorizing, though I chose to wear the Royal Scarab Amulets in Blue and Gold from C & D Designs. They're available at Digital Alchemy as a free gift. How fun is that?

To complete my Egyptian Queen ensemble, I grabbed another item at the Digital Alchemy event, the Cleo hair from Inorite. This fantastic bob comes in two versions, with and without the gold tiara, which I am quite pleased about. I like this hair well enough to wear it with non-Egyptian themed outfits, so that comes in handy. Of course, I am a sucker for well done hair with fun color names. For this look, I'm wearing The Deepest Blues are Black. But I think my favorite color choice is either Morphine and Chocolate or Hit the Bottle, Baby. Though, Turning Me to Rust is fun too. I'd not heard of Inorite before this event, but I did run and check out the main store, and they have a very small but fun selection of hair with cute names. I can't wait to see what Violet Morellet comes up with next.

A Unique Perspective on Sameness

And now for something new...or not. As you've probably gathered, a lot of us bloggers are wearing the SAME DAMN THING today. Achariya issued this challenge in response to some conversations on plurk. I think most of us bloggers have caught flak from time to time because we've blogged something someone else already showed. But this challenge is to show you that while we are wearing the same item, we look completely different. We all bring our own personality and sense of style to an outfit. So what if someone else already blogged it? Maybe you didn't care for it the way you saw it once, but the second time was a look you could see yourself wearing? Isn't that fashion in its truest form?

Our item of sameness is the Men's Cambridge Cuffed Sleeve shirt from Armidi. I dragged Rhodesy into this challenge (actually, she volunteered) and just in my blog alone, we created two completely different looks.

I've gone Punk Chic by pairing the Cambridge shirt in Aqua Afrillia with the Black 3/4 Pants (Kitty Pants) from WRONG. I chose Aqua to bring out my eyes, but it comes in a myriad of color options. I completed the look with some well thought out accessories and my Basic Boots from WRONG.

Of course, being a Men's shirt, the prim cuffs and collar are H-U-G-E. But a quick resizing and they're just fine. I left mine a little big because I thought it went better with the look I was going for, but you can make them as small as you want.

Rhodesy went more for the Glamourously Sexy Chic look by throwing the Purple Lily Corset from Insolence over her Cambridge Cuffed Shirt in Aufren Light Grey.

The SLink Leather Pants continue the sexy look and the boots from Storm Schmooz don't hurt either.

One shirt, two different looks in my blog alone. You might get tired of seeing this shirt on the feeds today, but then you might find it to be an interesting experiment like I do. And who knows? Maybe you'll even find a new perspective on fashion.

Rock n Roll Couture

I stumbled across Calypso Giano the other day and virtually squealed in delight when I saw the jeans. Designer Calypso Giano has taken the Rock n' Roll to Couture, and he not only does it with style and flair, but he also has the substance to back it up.

I love, love, love the jeans! There are a ton of colors and textures to choose from. I'm wearing the Fray jeans in black here, but you can bet I'll be going back soon for some of the ones with skulls on them. There are a ton of fantasticly rock n rollish tops to choose from as well. I'm wearing the Angel Top. I love how the design wraps around to the back of the shirt. Oh and let's not forget the many layer options, which is always a plus.

Details are an important thing when designing clothing, and Calypso Giano has certainly paid ample attention to them. From the logo on the pockets to the designer's name at the top of the shirt, each piece has a lovely array of fine details that complete the design.

This look allowed me to break out some rarely used but fun as hell acessories like the audio wire bracelet and mixtape necklace from Kari and the V gloves from Vette's. The ETD Janine Hair and the Apnea Tattoos from Sn@tch complete my rocker-chick-meets-couture look.

There's lots to choose from at Calypso Giano. Men's clothing, skins, tattoos, women's clothing, you name it.

Calypso Giano's motto is "Style Your Life," and there's no better way than to go and grab some of these fantastic clothes.

Alpha Femmes

Last month, Yelmer Pfeffer of Alphamale released the anxiously awaited first item in the new women's collection. The Femme shirt is a masterpiece, but I would expect nothing less from the extrodinairy designer of Alphamale.

Available in 17 colors, the Femme shirt is sleek and sophisticated with a gorgeously rich texture that you can't help but drool over. And the fit is perfect. It's incredibly flattering, fitting to the curves of a woman's body about as perfectly as a shirt can. It's undenieably sexy, yet powerful as well. And call me lazy, but I absolutely love it when I put on a shirt and all the prim pieces fit right where they are suppossed to fit and this shirt does it. I could kiss Yelmer for that..but I won't. :)

Another thing I love about the shirt is, of course, the versatility. There are a myriad of looks you could build with this shirt as the base. Friend, and fellow MDR Photgrapher, Rhodesy Durant and I decided to wear them when we hopped over to the New New York SIM to check out Times Square, and we came up with two distinctly different looks.

Rhodesy paired the Femme shirt in Lilac with some cute plaid pants from Axel and a fun leapord print belt from Callie CLine. She added an updo, some Stiletto Moody boots and a cute bag from SLink to come up with a chic but funky downtown--a la Greenwhich Village--look.

I, on the other hand, took the Femme shirt in Ruby and paired it with the SLink Buckle pants in black, the Tamara shoes from ZHAO, my Abyss hair, and a few accessories to create a very sleek and sexy uptown, Manhattan professional look. Just two fun examples of ways to wear this fantastic shirt.

Ova Hauled and Taylor Made!

Where do I start when I want to talk about these two awesome designers. Not only for the designs but their personalities as well. Around Christmas time, I added a tail and ears to my wardrobe and found every holiday one I could find. I popped into Ova and fell in love right off the bat. Tatiana and I had gone there for a freebie they had put out and from there I was hooked. I joined her subscribe O matic group and realized how generous they are. Ova makes the chlothes and Taylor does the tails, ears and scripts. They aren't ones that hide out and only go around the store when people aren't looking..Just the opposite they like to mingle and see who it is that is purchasing their wares. They are such giving people and has donated outfits for the SPIRIT Dazzlers to perform in an upcoming show and we thank you so much for that! Not only that but if you are in the Ova Group you will receive notices on how much Ova and Taylor have been working to bring us the awesome outfits that you can wear anywhere. Always giving away clever freebies that usually are to do with the seasons or just because.

Right now they have a Valentine's tail, ears and legwarmers that you can get all decorated up for your honey! Taylor has even created some really cool new tails and ears that are to do with firefighting, police and even the old fart tail.....hehe and yes it really does emit those nasty gases when touched.

Not only do I make it a must visit almost daily but I have become great friends with the two of them and I am so glad for that. Ova and I talk for hours and she loves to tease me with her upcoming skirts.......meany!!!! I just want to say thank you, thank you ,thank you to both of them and Ova, you are not the mean ogre. You are an amazing friend. Keep on making us smile and feeling good about going out with the best duds! ~hugs~

JJ Lane's and Surfing, Perfect Combination

Hello everyone, today its not about the cloths but more where to be seen in the cloths. I had the privilege and honor to sit with two very good friends of mine Aurora Jacks and Kristoffer Juneau, the very proud owners of JJ Lanes furniture store and Braata Beach.

Braata beach is the newest and hottest surf area in SL right now. It’s several sims of sun, surf and shopping. I asked Aurora about the area and she told me that it’s her and Kris’s goal to provide a fun environment to relax, surf and shop. Speaking of shopping, you have to start with the biggest and badest furniture in SL, JJ Lane’s. Great care and detail go into every piece they sell, and styles that are out of this world. Whether you are looking for a beach theme for that new house or a contemporary look for that sexy bedroom JJ Lane’s has you covered. Plus they pride themselves on great quality at a great price.

Then, when your done there its time to save a few linden in order to check out the several shops spread out among the sims. Can you say surf ware? My goodness, some of the best surf shops all in one place. You have; JJ’s Dive Shop, JJ’s Surf Shack, JL Boards, Ripple, Vogel Bikini, Surf Crazy, Beach Babes, and Aldos Surf Shop. So plan your time wisely and go right after payday.

OK, your dressed for the beach now, what to do what to do?? Well they have you covered there also. You can take your pick of a couple’s area to cuddle with that special someone, you can scuba dive in the lagoon, and then there’s the surfing. Not just one spot but several places to get your hang 10 on. Braata Beach has Epic waves, Pipes and Fluffys, (for you beginners…lol). So grab that board you just bought and make a wake. If the waves scare you, you can use a windsurfer that they provide for you, or your even able to rez a boat there and just cruise the crystal clear blue water of Braata Beach.

Don’t stop now, the sun is setting, the waves have flattened out, and it’s time for a drink. Yep yet again you are covered. It is time to dance the night away at The Bomba Shack. So now you can dance, party, and get rowdy all night long. And the perfect time to start is the upcoming event; Rastaman Sorbet is playing live, Sat. the 17th at 5 slt.

So I promise you won’t be disappointed with the shopping, surfing, or entertainment. Check them out and make it your new hang out.

Simple Elegance

Zaara Kohime has done it again with her newest release: the Amala gown. This came out a week or two ago, and I immediately teleported over to Zaara's main store and snagged the crimson version, but I've been unable to get a post up until tonight. If you've not bought this yet, exactly what are you waiting for?

I'm not sure I have adequate words to describe how lovely this dress is. The texture is simply amazing. It might even be the best texture I've ever seen on a dress. The richness of the brocade silk and the delicate lace bodice work together to create the most stunningly elegant gown I've ever worn.

This dress is even stunning from the back. I love how the skirts floats around my legs. As with all Zaara's work, it moves beautifully. I paired it with some simple pearl earrings and a bracelet from Muse along with the Aiiyana hair from ETD for an understated elegant look. Really, this dress doesn't need very much in the way of accessories.

After I finished shooting the above photos, I couldn't bring myself to take the dress off yet, so I headed over to Emvee Cuba to stroll around and drink in the scenery. Of course, I had to snap a few pics there as well. Oh, and the top comes in two versions: Sheer and not so sheer. I'm quite thankful to have the option, really.

Zaara's Amala gown would be a lovely addition to any wardrobe and perfect for a ton of different occasions. In fact, there is a certain holiday coming up next month, and this might just be what I wear to celebrate it.

Dress Me Up Challenge: Arcadia by Ana Lutetia

My next Dress Me Up Challenge is from Ana Lutetia, who said "hmmm... me thinks neko! ^^"

I know, I know, I'm way behind.

I have to admit to being a little excited about this challege because I am somewhat of an Ana Lutetia fangirl. I read a lot of fashion blogs, but hers is definitely one of my favorites. So, her taking the time to give me a challenge, was very cool.

I had an outfit in mind the minute I read this challenge, the Plaid Short Set from Riddle and it's one I've blogged before, which is probably not the best plan, but it's perfect for the look I wanted to end up with. However, I did take this opportunity to go out and find the best tail and ears I could find. I have one pair, and they're...good. Just..not excitingly good, ya know?

My friend Sutcliffe had this amazing tail on one night, and after getting the landmark from him, I tp'd over to Urban Dare. I recognized the name from Ana's blog, but I'd not gone to explore it. I'm so glad I took the time now because I LOVE this store. There's so much to see and do on this SIM that I think I spent at least two hours there, and that's saying something for she who has been known to tp out of a store in less than a minute.

The first thing I bought was the ear and tails. The quality here is amazing. Now, if you've read any of my posts at all, you know I'm a big fan of versatility, and the Neko Furry Tail and Neko Ears are the epitome of that. They come with a ton of options, from tail and ear length, to colors, to sound...a drop down menu is full of fun choices to help you coordinate your tail and ears with your outfit. Or, if you prefer, you can wear the HUD that comes with. I got the version with Bells, and you can toggle the level of the sound as well, which is a nice touch. There are several options to choose from though if bells aren't your thing. Oh, and people can interact with your tail and ears, petting them, tickling them, etc. And if you're with someone that has the same tail and ears, they interact with each other as well. How fun is that? The tail was just 200L and the ears, 150L. I'd say that's more than a bargain for everything you can do with them.

Even if you don't want to go full neko, this store has some amazing accessories that you could wear with just about anything. From boots to collars, to piercings, Urban Dare has a little bit of everything. My favorites are the leather arm bracers and straps, which also come in several options. These can be worn with a lot of the outfits in my inventory.

I grabbed the Urban Dare Cream Skin with Red Lips and Runny Eyeliner and I have to say I'm highly impressed. Skins are a bit of a problem for me. I can never find any that look right on my avatar...but this one is fantastic. It still looks like me, and I love the combination of the runny mascara and bright red lips. Craven Theas has several fun skins for you to choose from, and at 500L they're a bit of a steal. Oh, and let's not forget the Neko eyes. I got these lovely Lucky Monkey Neko Eyes in Medium Blue/Green. They're quite stunning. I forgot to take them off when I changed clothes to do a photo shoot, and my client complimented me on them and ran to get some for herself. She was as in awe as I was at the choices for eyes here. Every color combination you can think of!

There are also other merchants at Urban Dare, and Little Nuisance is probably my favorite. I got this super cute Art Belt by Little Nuisance and Urban Dare for 150L. I can't decide what part of this belt I love more: the picture changing frame, the paint brushes, the crayons that say Urban Dare, or the box of Nerds.

I also got this fantastic Poloraid picture changing necklace and loaded it with photos. It's super fun and works great. Also, the razor blade hanging off the back is a great creative touch.

I had the pleasure of meeting the creator and an owner of the club on Urban Dare, Indira Wobbit. She was very nice, and it was a pleasure meeting her as well as the host of the club and Urban Dare Model, Andie Boozehound.

I will definitely be going back to Club Dare. The mix of music was perfect for me: a little Electronica, a little Goth, a little Industrial. The club itself is extremely well done; the atmostphere is very welcoming, and the entire sim is a photographer's dream. I found some fun little hidden pathways and took some snaps. I couldn't resist. ;)

Dress Me Up Challenge: Arcadia by Cajsa Lilliehook

Cajsa said: "I would love to see what eshi otawara outfit really draws your interest.Be sure to check out the second floor of her store as well as there's a lot up there and it's all on sale right now."

This was an interesting challenge. I've seen several of Eshi Otawara's designs before in Cajsa's blog and in other fashion blogs and magazines, but I'd never really spent time looking around her store. Her designs are unbelieveable, really. I'm in awe at the level of creativity on display there and can only imagine the time it takes to make such fantastical designs.

However, while I can appreciate the creativity involved, I can't say any of the designs really drew me in and made me fall in love. Of course, this is all a matter of personal taste and you may well find something there that you love. I hope you do, even...because the talent of Eshi Otawara should be appreciated.

I did find one dress on the second floor that I ended up buying, not only because I liked it but because it was a bit ironic. You see, Gabby Panacek did a review of this dress for Glamourazzi right after I joined the blog. I remember thinking how beautiful it was, and also knowing it was completely out of my price range. And now, because of this challenge, here I am reviewing the same dress. Things come full circle sometimes, don't they?

I bought the Smokey Tux Dress in Strawberry and once I put this glowing confection of a gown on, I immediately thought of Dracula. You can take the girl out of the Goth, but you can't take the Goth out of the girl. I'm afraid. So, of course, I tp'd over to the cemetary at Transylvania to photograph this fantastic dress.

One of the best features of this dress is the glowing skirt, and glow it does. If you look closely you can see how it lit up the bones in this coffin I'm kneeling on. This dress is just an absolute piece of art. The movement on the billowing skirt is lovely. It floats around your legs as you move, and the light coming from the skirt is a wonderfully creative touch. This is not the dress to wear if you're trying to blend into the crowd.

Of course, when you stand out in a graveyard, you should be prepared to attract attention.

The dress comes with a lovely pearl choker that I somehow managed to lose during my encounter with the sexy vampire. Oh well, sometimes the jewelry just has to go.

Just like the movie. Well, as close as I can get anyway.

A Sexy Sweet Christmas!

Omg, I know.....I haven't been here forever and I have missed it sooo much!!! Wow has it been a whirlwind of things that has been keeping me but no longer! I am back and ready to share some great designs with you....
Starting out is the Christmas release from Insolence....Of course my utterly favorite lingerie and fashion store in SL, I had to share my findings.

Jaime is a new satin ensemble, very classic in its lines, but made of the shiniest satins and sweetest lace bits that one could imagine. This set was designed with most attention on getting the most rich satin touch, and as an attempt to find the perfect curves for a classic Bra, Panties and Garters set. It was thought to be made for wearing under a warm winter coat out in the cold cold weather and being revealed to that special someone while laying by the fire with a cozy rug, wine and candelight!
I love all of insolences pieces but the detail of the flowing lace that is delicately placed on the bra and panties along with the seaming of these pieces amaze me of the artistic eye of its creator, Camilla Yosuke. The triangular cut right at the right spots and the coverage of the bra makes such beautiful lines throughout.

There is also a surprise waiting for all of us eager shoppers at the store. You can grab a beautifully wrapped box filled with this short, sexy dress with wrap sandals , bra, pantie and garter set. Also inclueded is a drop pearl necklace that can be worn time and time again. The whole set can be worn out to a cocktail party or just throwing a house party.

Dress Me Up Challenge: Arcadia by Gabby Panacek

For my second challenge, Gabby gave me the following guidelines:

"Okay, Arcadia, let's get you away from the goth for a little bit. I'd love to see you put together something Glam punk in style. Start at Maitreya and Emery...their recent collaboration will give you lots of pieces to work with. Then check out Gritty Kitty or Exile for some hair. Oh, and I'd love to see you try some brighter colors with this, too. Have fun!"

I must admit that I found this the most daunting of the challenges, not because I dislike Glam Punk or anything, but because of those two little words: bright colors. *shudders*

After hiding in a corner and listening to my inner Goth hissing in my head for a while, I decided to be brave and tp over to Maitreya to see what their collaboration with Emery produced.

The results were interesting. And while I can appreciate the aesthetic of the outfits, I wasn't sure any of them were even remotely "me" enough to wear. But I did find myself drawn to the look in the promotional signs, so I thought I'd try to replicate that. It looked very Glam and still a bit "me". I found the Emery Biker jacket and immediately wished it came in more than two colors. Fuscia (Hot Pink to me) and Yellow are not colors I would normally wear. But I kept hearing Gabby's words in my head, so I snagged the Hot Pink jacket as it is the lesser of two evils. At least it's derived from red, right?

Next, I grabbed the Emery Denim Burk pants and the Maitreya Frenzy shoes in the special Hot Lips edition. They're black with hot pink on the bottoms, which totally matches the jacket.

And though Gabby directed me to other places for hair, I couldn't pass up the Nico hair sitting next to the Frenzy shoes. The Maitreya Armwarmers in black were next (sorry, I have to have black in there somewhere Gabby), and I was starting to feel a little better about the outfit. Not entirely comfortable, mind you, but I thought it would at least be an interesting experiment. All that was left was a shirt. And while the model in the promotional sign had on just a plain grey shirt underneath her jacket, I decided to grab the Emery Call Me outfit (a freebie, btw) and use the Blondie shirt from that outfit with my new look. It works perfectly to tie in those black armwarmers. As for accessories, I tp'd over to ::69:: for some fun pink and black star earrings and decided to use my Exotic Zeenu necklace from Viva La Glam instead of hunting around for a new one. With all of the pieces gathered, I tp'd home and put the whole thing together.

And you know what?

I LOVE it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this look! I've not stopped wearing it for an entire week. Can you belive it?

Gabby, you've corrupted me!

Here you can see the Maitreya Nico hair. I wasn't quite sure about it at first, but Rhodesy gave it the green light when I sent her a photo of me wearing the demo, so I went with it. And I'm glad I did. It's super sexy, and it's a lot of fun to photograph. Believe me, I know. I'm wearing Beach Blonde, but it comes in a vast array of colors.

Ah, the Emery Biker jacket that started the whole thing. The first thing I've ever owned in SL or in RL that is pink. I think the texture on this is fabulous, and the cut is quite flattering. It comes with a prim collar and sleeve cuffs, but I opted to wear it without. You could do a totally different kind of look with them, though. And at 200L, I think it's quite the bargain.

The Maitreya Armwarmers go great with this jacket too, but I bet you could wear them with lots of looks. Oh, and they also come in a dizzying array of colors. You can get single colors, or packs of three.

Two great photos of the Emery Denim Burk pants. I'm not sure I'll ever take these off. They're just perfect. I love the color and texture, and they are incredibly flattering, especially in the back. And the skinny legs...love the skinny legs.

The Maitreya Frenzy shoes in the special unreleased edition, Hot Lips. Don't you just love Maitreya's shoes? So sexy and chic. I like these almost as well as their Virtue shoes, which I wear with just about everything. I may have to go back and get more colors.

So there you have it...Arcadia gone Glam Punk. I certainly never expected to see me in anything pink, but I'm glad Gabby challenged me. I love this look and will definitely be wearing it...a lot. Most importanly, I had fun. Which is what this is all about, right?

Ask and ye shall recieve, my dear. I give you Arcadia as Warrior Goddess.

I have to thank Gidge for coming up with this idea for the challenge because it gave me an excuse to buy an outfit I've been coveting for quite some time; Amazon by GothiCatz. I thought it was lovely the day it came out, and I still adore it. Of course, how often does a photographer need to be wearing a breastplate? And so, I resisted...and resisted...and resisted. But now, thanks to Gidge, it is mine! *cue evil laughter*

Amazon comes with two skirt options, Rubellite and Emmerald. I'm wearing Rubellite (of course). The movement on this skirt is just stunning; I would expect nothing less from Looloo Beck.

The detail on the breastplate is gorgeously done, and that same pattern is accented on the waistband of the skirt as well. I love how the top looks like a corset done in metal. I added some henna tattoos, from LaynieWear, just for fun.

One of the places Gidge told me to check out was Tekeli Li. I must admit, I'd never heard of that place before, but I'm glad Gidge pointed me in that direction. What fun stuff! I bought the Wyrmling hair to go with my Warrior Goddess look. It's quite well done, with a cute yet fierce looking dragon resting atop the head.

The back is just as fun, with cascading falls of hair held up by metal rings. It's very ornate and just what I was looking for.

The best part is that it's all scripted. You can change the hair color, the color of the dragon, the color of the jewels on the dragon, etc. All with just a click of a button. How fun is that?

I was also able to find some lovely jewelry. The Sinqui Collar and Cuffs set is just understated enough to go with the Wyrmling hair. It, too, is scripted. You can change the color of the metal and the color of the gems. The possibilities abound with stuff from Tekeli Li. And we all know how much I like versatile items.

Of course, no Warrior Goddess look is complete without some kick ass heels, and I had the perfect pair in my inventory. ZHAO's Savannah in black leather. Nothing says Warrior Goddess quite like leather straps wrapping half way up your leg. These shoes are stunning, and with the right outfit, make a very bold statement.

Last, but definitely not least, a Warrior Goddess must have a trusty blade. I tp'd over to Stone Keep and snagged the Spell Fire Dragon's Eye blade. A lovely peice of metal work. It comes with a shield (not shown), and animations for drawing and sheathing the sword. It even has sound effects.

All in all, I had a lot of fun putting this look together. Thanks, Gidge!

Oh, why not? It could be interesting.

I was just having a conversation with a client about how I like to "play dress up" in SL, but that I'm still a Goth girl underneath it all. She responded by telling me that the Goth girl always shines through, no matter what I'm wearing. Which, I thought was a very sweet thing to say.

So, with that in mind, I open myself up to the whims of my readers. Dress me up!

Achariya is the brilliant mind behind this challenge and the rules are as follows:

Snowy Stage

I have a love/hate relationship with snow. On the one hand, I think freshly fallen snow (when it's like six inches deep) is one of the most beautiful sights you'll ever see on this planet. On the other hand, I absolutely despise driving in it. I am of the firm belief that if it's going to snow at all, there should be enough of the white stuff on the ground that I don't have to leave my apartment for a few days. Otherwise, what's the point?

But there is hope.

The beauty of Second Life is that I can enjoy the snow without having to drive in it, and that's just what I did a few days ago when wandering around MDR's new SIM. We have this lovely mountain top area with lots of trees, snow, and even wolves howling in the distance. It's very picturesque; the perfect stage for the newest GothiCatz outfit.

GothiCatz has been one of my favorite stores since I first began my second life, and LooLoo Beck certainly keeps getting better. Stage is my favorite winter outfit, by far. I love everything about it, and it is the most appropriately named outfit in my inventory, I think.

Stage is dramatic, eye-catching, and absolutely lovely. The red and black striped knitted sweater and black leather pants could almost be considered casual, but the added fur trim around the collar and sleeves gives it that extra something special to make it go from normal to WOW.

I love the texture on this shirt; it is exquisitely done and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy just by looking at it. And the row of buttons down the front adds a touch of cuteness to this dramatic winter outfit.

Of course, my favorite part is always the leather pants. These are highly detailed, with little metal accents all down the front of the legs. I paired this outfit with the Hylda boots from Tesla and kept the jewelry to a minimum - this outfit doesn't need any accessories.

You can take the fur trim off, but I think the outfit looses a lot when you do. Of course, it's up to your personal taste and the clothing is lovely with or without the fur.

Stage is the perfect outfit for taking in the winter scenery or going on those holiday shopping sprees. Tp over to GothiCatz and check it out.

Express The TRUTH!

I discovered TRUTH while jumping from SIM to SIM searching for ghosts over Halloween weekend. It's an interesting store, with a vast array of items for both men and women (looks pointedly at Payten). My favorite item, though, is the Spy coat. I love it. I love everything about it; from the black color, to the shiny silver belt, to the fun zipper detail. The bottom of it moves beautifully as you walk and it definitely screams "Spy".

For the TRUTH photo contest, I headed over to AM Radio's Dancing Umbrellas Installation. Cajsa gave me the landmark for this when MDR did their shoot for Runway Magazine. That issue comes out this week, I believe, so be sure to pick up a copy and check out the feature on the ladies of MDR.

The contest rules are that you must wear TRUTH hair, clothing, and shoes so I paired the Spy Coat with the Huntress boots in night. Spy. Huntress. Midnight. Night. I feel like the next Bond girl! The Jennifer hair in Flame was the perfect compliment to the look.

This coat would look wonderful with almost anything you paired with it; i.e. jeans, black pants, etc. I chose to go without for the contest, which certainly works as well. Though you do have the added complication of people asking you if you're wearing anything underneath the coat. Perhaps it's more fun to leave them guessing.

Photo contest or no, I like TRUTH's style. There's a wide selection of hair, clothing, and shoes for both men and women. It's definitely worth stopping by on your next shopping trip around the grid.

Put On That Party Dress!

There I was last Friday, the night of MDR's Anniversary Bash, standing in my bedroom frantically riflling through my inventory. What to wear, what to wear...the age old question that every fashionista asks herself before an important occassion. I had a list of criteria I was trying to follow:

Dressy but not TOO formal.
Classy and elegant.
Something a little out of the ordinary.
And most importantly...smokin H-O-T!

My first thought was a little black dress, because that works for almost every occassion, but I wanted out of the ordinary. Perhaps I could find something that fit both bills?

It took me awhile, but I finally stumbled upon the perfect dress for theparty. It fit all of my party dress criteria, and better yet, I'd not had an opportunity to wear it yet. So what dress was the perfect dress for an anniversary bash? What dress was elegant, sexy, and a bit out of the ordinary? The Noir Vero Flexi Dress from Leezu Baxter Designs, of course.

Leezu Baxter always has fabulous, not your run of the mill, couture. I've been an admirer of hers for quite some time, but I admit I don't get to wear her things as often as I'd like. I bought this dress on impulse quite awhile ago, but hadn't had a reason to wear it yet. I'm so glad I pulled it out and dusted it off. It was the PERFECT dress for the occassion.

This dress is exquisitely sexy. The geomatric cut out pattern on the torso and the plunging neckline show off a tantalizing amount of skin without crossing the line.

The skirt comes with three flexi prims and it moves beautifully...this is definitely a dress for dancing. I love the pairing of the modest length of the skirt with the daring neckline. And the gloves, with their matching cut out pattern, not only compliment this dress perfectly, but they add that touch of elegance I was looking for.

I paired this dress with the new Yvette hair from ETD because I thought an updo would look best, but I didn't want anything too formal and polished. Yvette is just a tiny bit messy and a little less formal. The hair sweeping across one side of the face adds a touch of sexy to the updo. For jewelry, I kept it simple and understated so as not to overpower the dress. Caroline's graduated diamond set was the perfect compliment. Classic, simple, beautiful. And besides, diamonds go with everything, right?

Black seamed stockings and the Maitreya Virtue shoes were the finishing touches to my Anniversary Party look.

Next time you're at Leezu Baxter, make sure you check out that little room called Noir; there are lots of little gems in that collection, and Vero is the perfect party/night out on the town dancing dress.

Fall Mix and Match

Yesterday was MDR's first anniversary. It's been a year of growth, moving from a small beachfront studio to having an entire SIM full of photo opportunities and a three-story studio extraordinaire. Cajsa has been hard at work building and texturing things, and I have to say the place looks great. We're having a party on Friday to celebrate a year of taking fabulous photos AND the grand opening of our new SIM, and I've been busy with the preparations for that. But I did take a few moments recently to enjoy some of the fall scenery around the grid before it all disappears and the snow starts showing up. It's not been chilly enough for a coat yet, but this season definitely calls for longer sleeves. I decided to do some mixing and matching of old and new pieces to travel the grid in and I came up with some wonderfully fashionable looks.

Qualified Cutie from Mischief is a favorite in my Sexy Business Wear folder and one of the first outfits I bought at Mischief. But for today, I decided to pair it with a newer find, the Buckle Pants from SLink. Adding the Tamara shoes from ZHAO and the Secret hair from TheAbyss gives it that sleek sophisticated look that is perfect for the office...

...or for frolicking in the fall leaves.

While on my sojourn around the grid, I decided to check out Cachet, as I'd not been there in several months. On the second floor, I found this treasure. The Sarah shirt, which I paired with my very first pair of SL jeans, the Black Embellished Jeans from Celestial Studios.

I don't generally wear shirts with prints on them but the texture on this shirt is exquisite, and I love the banding around the collar and waistband which has been added to the elbows and cuffs also to tie it all together. It comes in several colors, but when I saw that this one was called Funeral, there was no doubt I had to have it.

This look is a bit more causal and a lot monochromatic, so in keeping with that theme I donned the new Hylda boots from Tesla in black. I love everything about these boots, from the shiny leather texture to the cute little zipper and metallic ring on the side. They go perfectly with jeans.

Now that I've frolicked about in the fall leaves for awhile, it's back to party preparations for me. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. slt and will be held in the Portfolio Room at MDR. Come enjoy great music, dancing, and some fabulous prizes in the raffle ball. Oh, and don't forget to take the grand tour of the new SIM. There's plenty to see and do.

Now if I can just figure out what to wear...but that's a post for another time.

Another Masterpiece at Skin Within! Revision

Above is designer Ayesha Bisiani and MC Payten Harrop at the Skin Within Fashion Show introducing "Alaysia".

Ayesha Bisiani of "Skin Within" has done it again with her newest addition of skins called Alaysia! I was honored to go to this show and was in awe of the beauty that she has created with this line. The first model, Madison Sullivan, showed us the no makeup version. This really shows the lines and highlights of the skin and that time has really been put into her work. The skin has a peachy tone, with full beautiful lips. The ethnic tilt of the eyes really brings the exotic grace of this beauty to light.

The next makeup we were to see was the Day Collection, Luxi, where greens and copper color really show the eyes. The lips are a russet color that isn't overpowering but exotic and natural. The Evening Collection, are colors of silver, gold and mahogany that truly splash the look. I can tell you, eyes will turn and you will be the look of any room you enter in this makeup. This is a must have for your holiday party!

The next model, Haylee Jameson was wearing a dramatic look and a definite show stopper, Mei. This is in the smokey set and wow, extremely dramatic with rich indigo that lines the eyelids to really bring out the cat like eyes. The colors of violet and slight green add to this truly exquisite collection.

The last and sadly, final skin is the Traditional collection, Dan. This pale skin has the wow factor when the eyes and cheeks pop with colors of pink from the lids to the temples and splashed onto the cheek bones. The bold colored lips really bring this collection all together to really make a sexy and dramatic look. Inspired by the ancient art of Chinese Opera, it features subtle makeup details of classic stage white that splashes up the forehead and dots the eyes. I have never seen anything like this collection before.

What I truly like about Skin Within is that the skins are so versatile on every shape and size...They don't lose their beauty and sexiness with the change of size. I really recommend it. :)

Sorrow

Sorrow is the final doll in the Marionette Doll series from theAbyss and I have to admit she's my favorite. As soon as I put this on, I knew it would be the one I chose to wear for Halloween. I'm not sure if it's the runny mascara or the wonderful net gloves, but this one has totally won me over. As much as I love the other two dolls, this one is just...perfect. It also really fits my mood these days.

She's a bit Gothy, a bit Emo, and a lot doll. Sorrow's clothing is also black and red, much like Mystery, but the pattern and shade of red are completely different. Sorrow is...darker. The pattern on the skirt looks more like blood spatter on fishnet than anything resembling polka dots. (although you will find polka dots on the hair bows.)

The solid skirt is wonderful too.

You get the same clothing options as the other dolls but the gloves are an added bonus with this one and a nice touch, I think. I love that they are ripped. They lend themselves well to the overall theme of this outfit. I should mention also that these shapes are modifiable. I didn't change them because I thought they were great as is, but you certainly have the option if you so choose.

Not much more can be said about these dolls that I've not already said in these last few posts. So if you are running around at the last minute looking for a great costume to wear to that special Halloween party, look no futher than theAbyss. Mystery

Mystery is the second doll in the Marionette Dolls series from theAbyss. She is just as lovely as the first doll, Magic, yet very different. Where Magic is dark, Mystery is light. Her hair is an eye-catching full bright blonde and her skin is lovely and pale; almost like alabaster. She's an absolutely gorgeous doll.

As with Magic before her, Mystery comes with lots of fun options for mixing and matching. In the photo above, I'm wearing the pattern peasant shirt, the pattern black half corset, and the solid black skirt. I love the red polka dots on this pattern shirt, so I opted for the half corset so as to show off said polka dots.

Speaking of polka dots...

You get two options for bloomers as well. Below I'm wearing the pattern bloomers sans skirt to show you how absolutely fabulous they are. And I have to say, the red and black polka dotted stockings are my favorite in this set.

In the photo below, I've opted for the pattern skirt, a lovely black paisely design, and the full corset, which accomplishes a somewhat different type of sexy than the half corset.

Last but not least is the solid peasant shirt, the half corset and the solid black skirt. The options abound with this set - all pattern, all solid, mix and match, etc. I love versatility. And, I feel I must mention how well done the doll strings are. I've seen doll strings before that just sort of hang there and don't do anything, but these move with the avatar flawlessly and are yet another example of the attention to detail that went into making these sets.

Magic is the first doll in the Marionette Dolls costume series from The Abyss, and I have to say she is spectacular. With hair the color of fire and clothing a lovely shade of purple, she's sure to have many heads turning at those halloween parties.

I'm not a huge fan of purple, but I think it works wondefully well here. You get a ton of options with these costume sets, from the color of the bows in her hair to the pattern on the skirt. You can even decide if you want the marionette strings attached to the shoes or not. I've not had this much fun with a costume in a long time. Wanna see more?

I love the clothing in this. The peasant top and corset are incredibly sexy and the detail on this is amazing, right down to the row of buttons on the front. The stockings are wonderful and I had lots of fun mixing and matching the different pieces to create unique looks. The colors and textures are stunning and the outfit itself is sexy and sassy. The pantaloons are a fantastic addition to the dress and give the look a touch of whimsy that I adore. Oh, and it looks great even with my regular shape. There are resizing options, should you choose not to wear the shape included in the set, but really this shape is very well done and definitely completes the doll look. The doll strings are very realistic as well, though I chose to not have them attached to the shoes for the photos. But that option is certainly there.

Costume Greatness!

My love for Halloween is no secret. I love everything about it and that includes hunting for the PERFECT costume to wear to all of those Halloween parties. Finding the right costume can sometimes be difficult depending on what you're going for. I tend to stay away from the super scary bloody monster/killer stuff. I like creative costumes. Costumes that make you take a closer look. Costumes that aren't ordinary. Costumes that are still, while fitting the theme, a bit sassy and/or sexy.

There are a lot of great costumes out there this year. It's been somewhat difficult for me to choose the "best" out of all the wonderful work I've seen, but I have finally come to the conclusion that for costumes, nothing beats the Marionette Dolls at The Abyss. To say they are fabulous is quite an understatement, but I'm going to say it anyway.

They are FABULOUS!

This isn't just an outfit to throw on, it's a complete kit. You get the shape, the skin, the hair, the clothing, the shoes...everything. Better still, the options included in these are a mix and match girl's nirvana. There are at least three different outfit options per doll, and there are almost 50 items included in these sets! That is a lot of mix and matching. They are a bit on the pricey side, I have to admit...but it is SO worth it. Not only because of all the fun you can have dressing up for Halloween, but on the versatility of the clothing. I dare say you could wear some of this all year round. How cool is that?

They come in these adorable collector's boxes that look just like real doll boxes. A lot of love, time, and creativity went into these and it shows.

Mix and Match - Goth Style

Ever come across a fabulous item during a shopping excursion and just know you HAVE to have it, even though you don't know what you'll wear it with or when?

This happened to me several months ago while strolling through the shops on the PixelDolls Sim Port Seraphine. I came across a store called 2811, which is owned by PixelDolls, and immediately my inner Goth fell in love with the Ragged Black Velvet Skirt Set. I snatched it up as soon as SL would allow me to do so, and couldn't wait to get home to try it on. It was as lovely as the ad, and the movement of this skirt is just gorgeous. It floats so beautifully. Of course, nothing I had looked quite right with it and so I had to give up, resigning this beautiful skirt to the back of my inventory for the time being.

Recently, RL sort of crashed in on me, literally AND figuratively, and so when I logged in, I immediately went for Goth with my look. I wear a lot of different styles of clothing, from beachy casual to couture and I love it all; but I am never more...ME...then I am when I go Goth.

Needing a little pick me up, I pulled that lovely Ragged Black Velvet Skirt out of my inventory and dusted off the cobwebs. Once I put it on, I was determined that this time I would figure out something to pair with it. Surely, in an inventory of over 9000, I could find some sort of top that would complete the look I was aiming for. I started going through every folder, pulling bits and pieces from different outfits, when I finally stumbled upon the Emily Dress from Canimal. This dress is one of the first things I bought as a newbie in SL. I can't remember what it cost, but I know it was very cheap, if not free, cause I did not have any money almost a year ago, when I first logged into this crazy virtual existience.

So, being the fan of mixing and matching that I am, I threw on the black and red corseted Emily top with my lovely Ragged Skirt and voila! Finally, the look I was going for.

Of course, no look is complete without accessories. I added the Digital Adornments Cassanora Jewelry Set that I picked up from Digital Knickers. It's the perfect touch of romantic, old world elegance I wanted for this outift. And just for the Gothy punk "Yes I remember the 80's," I added the Sanity Jelly Bracelets from WRONG. These bracelets are aptly named, I have to admit. They've saved my sanity many times whilst hunting for accessories for different looks. They go with almost everything. Probably one of the most important pieces of any outfit is the hair. My go-to Gothy hair is the MeriJayne II from ETD, and it was my first and last choice for this outfit. This time, I decided to try it in Smoke and I think it works well for the "black and red from head to toe" thing I've got going on with this look.

Of course, I must have tattoos when I go Gothy, and what better set then the Apnea Tattoos from SN@TCH?

Stockings and boots were fairly easy choices for this look. The stockings from theVexed outfit by Mischief are the perfect combination of seams and fishnet. And for Gothy boots, nothing beats WRONG's Basic Boots in Black.

A lovely mix and match outfit, some pieces old, some new, and some had never seen the light of day. I'm so glad I finally found a way to wear this Ragged Skirt from 2811. It's one of my favorite items and now, not only do I feel very ME, I'm perfectly dressed for hunting all those pumpkins.

First, Mariska Simons of Blacklace got me to wear zebra print with her Primal Instinct set. And now...now she's accomplished the unthinkable. Arcadia is wearing orange.

*cue shocked gasps*

Blacklace has released two special edition sets today that are definitely a Halloween treat.
This is the Halloween Edition of one of my favorites from the new line, Velvet Touch.

Again, the color on this is simply stunning and the texture on this corset set is to die for. It has gotten rave reviews.

The other set that has been released in Halloween orange is Foxy. Foxy is a lovely satin corset set from the new Fall Line at Blacklace. The orange is so vivid on this, it feels like you're dressed in flames. Oh, and this Halloween set makes it the third one in my inventory. I also have it in red, and gold. Hmm...fall colors. Imagine that.

Mariska was nice enough to gift these to me last week, but I told her I'd wait to blog them until they were put up for sale. And since you are reading this, you know that yes, they are finally up at Alphamale & Blacklace for 398L each. TP there and look for the pumpkins.

Another Creative Mind!

My friend and co-dancer in Pixelle Ballet, Vivienne Darcy had sent me some reviews from a friend of hers, Alexa Sideways. When I opened them up I was so impressed with her work that i had to make sure I got them up here for you all to see. She is a great up and coming designer that really puts alot of detail and hard work into her creations.
She began making shirts for a dj at her club and grew from there with working and trying and trying and working at getting things to work just the way she wanted them.

The picture on the front page that I am wearing is called Alya. I love the detail and stiching in the jeans and the length and fit of the leg. The low waisted sexy placement is a good pointer as well. Tiana has on Violet, and this comes with the short and an a line skirt as well. I find the fitting of the skirts to fit very well and no adjustments were needed...Thank goodness.

In this outfit , Phoenix, I feel a bit of the oriental flare with the awesome texture and look. The just barely enough coverage of the skirt and the very sexy back cut outs. I love it. Tiana has on Vivi, the Sophisticated but hot look with an attached ruffle at the collar bone area and the fit again is exquisite and has a slit up the side that goes forever..hehe

My new favorite little black dress is the Lacey. The lacy look and feel of this hot little number is at the top of my dress list. The fit is short and shows off the long sexy legs of any avi. Tiana has on Emerald, a cute two piece called . I love the color combinations in this one and the way it fits. Please visit her shop at and see what this designer will come up with next. Satin, Velvet, and Blacklace!

Ah, the wonder that is Blacklace. In a continuation of my last post, I shall share with you some of the other wonderful things I bought when the new Fall Line went on sale.

Foxy is a stunning corset set that comes in a myriad of color choices. I chose the Gold one, which is very unusual for me. I never wear yellow, and I tend to stay away from any variation thereof as a general rule, but I just fell in love with this. That's another thing I love about Mariska's designs...her colors are so rich and seductive that they make me step outside of my comfort zone and buy colors I'd never really considered before. The detail on this is exquisite, as it always is with a Blacklace design. Look how lovely the lace pattern is on this corset...

The black lace and gold satin work togehter to create an eye-catching corset. As an added bonus, the designs come with this wonderful Blacklace charm bracelet in gold and in silver, which makes hunting for accessories that much easier. As good as this set looks from the front, we mustn't forget the all important "rear view".

I love love love the little prim bow attachment, and the long black gloves lend an air of sexy sophistication. And last, but never least are the lovely seamed black stockings. Is there anything sexier?

Next up is Enchanted. This lovely pearl satin set is perfect for that blushing bride on her wedding night, or it could be worn under a lovely evening gown when going out on the town. Imagine taking off that gown and revealing this to your lover? Its the perfect blend of innocence and sexuality.

Again, notice the lovely texture on this piece. It is a visual delight, both in texture and design. I've spoken about how well Blacklace lingerie hugs the curves of awoman's body, and this set is a wonderful example. Notice how the garters, panties, and stockings all work together to create the perfect heart-shaped derrière? It's details like this that make me love Blacklace. I'd say this set is aptly named.

From innocent sexuality to sultry seduction, Velvet Touch just exudes sex. This velvet corset set caught my eye in red and instantly made me think "Va Va Voom." I paired it with the model 01 hair from ::69:: for that pinup girl look.

Of course, you can only lay down with that hair pose, so I switched hairs in order to show you that fabulous "rear view" Mariska is so adept at creating. This rich and seductive set is going to be a favorite.

Mariska was nice enough to gift me with the next outfit, Precious. This wonderful set can be worn two different ways. The first, as a lovely little babydoll, is quite stunning. The texture on the lace is lovely, and I adore the prim bow, of course. Sweet and seductive at the same time...exactly what a babydoll should be.

You can also wear it as a simple bra and panty set. The shape of the bra on this one is very interesting, and again notice the glorious red color. (I left the prim bow on because it was too cute to take off.)

Lovely detail on the waistband of the panties too. I love the shape and pattern on this set. They're quite fun and unique.

So, now you've seen most of the wonderful items Blacklace is offering us lovers of lingerie for the fall. There are several things I did not blog, though, so be sure to go and check them out when you're there snagging some of the wonderful sets I did mention.

Oh, and remember how I was tempted to go buy Primal Instinct, the zebra print set Rhodesy so graciously modeled for us last time? Yeah. My resistance only lasted a day.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

Hello don't choke on your morning coffee, I know hearing from me two days in a row can be hard. BUT!!! This is a small post on a new sim out that I visited yesterday and it blew my mind. Its called Magic of Oz.

This sim puts you in every aspect of the movie. From the farm house, to the munchkin city, to the evil witches castle, and finally to the emerald city. You can travel through the sim as you imagine yourself in the movie. Every detail has be mastered and no stone has been left out. You can explore the sim as if you own it.

But, pay close attention for this week there is something else in the land of Oz. Its a hunt for colored slippers. Yes you have to look around for Red, Green, and Silver Shoes, every one packed full of fun free stuff. The green and silver shoes are you buy for 0L but the red ones, oh the red ones, those are the ones you want to find. Every time someone finds one of the red shoes it disappears and re-rezzes somewhere else on the sim. So keep looking and act fast for someone else might click on the shoes and it will be gone.

So check it out and do it quick, the special red shoe gifts will only be available this week. And, as your hunting look around it is totally amazing what they have done to this sim.

No Pink Here

Hello everyone, hows things in your neck of SL going? I have been very busy and am happy to be back here blogging for you. Its thanks to great friends that keep my clothing store LM's inventory going. This next shop is no exception. I was brought to it by a good friend and really like what i saw. The name of the store was NO PINK.

The store has a punk rock feel to it as you enter, but taking a better look I find that anyone can find a style they like. I myself went with the awesome t-shirts they have and a double layer shirt. What caught my eye with the yellow shirt you see in the pic is the shirt tail sticking out the bottom. Great detail and the casual look that I love. You can also make it tucked in but don't know why you would want to do that unless your going to SL court. LOL. The t-shirts are not to be overlooked either. What I didn't notice at first was the folding wrinkle shading in the belly area. It is so real looking and looks like all my shirts I have in my closet in RL.

The selection of pants though i feel is where they excel. I was short on time and was only able to get one pair but i love them. I took some pics of the detail of the pants. The cuffed bottoms and the button fly.

Put them together and you get great casual outfits. Check them out I am sure you will like what you see.

Leather, Latex, and...Zebra?

When I heard Blacklace was releasing ten new designs for Fall, I knew my linden balance was going to take a hit. It is no secret, if you read this blog, that I love lingerie. It is also no secret that I LOVE Blacklace. Mariska Simons is a genius when it comes to design. Her lingerie is top of the line, the textures are always stunning, the details amazing, and the colors are rich and seductive. So yes, I knew I was going to buy some lingerie Sunday when the SIM was reopened and the line was debuted. I knew I was going to love the designs, but I don't think I was prepared for how MUCH I would love.

Mariska has outdone herself yet again. I want it all. Every single piece. Of course, I couldn't buy it all cause a girl has to stick to a budget, but I was able to get five of the new outfits. My friend Rhodesy found one "I must have this" outfit too, and I'm going to show you her choice as well, since it is something I did not buy. I'll be breaking this post into two, just because of the sheer volume of lingerie I just bought.

The first thing that caught my eye was Dark Secrets, a leather corset set. I bought it in blue, just for some variety since I have a lot of black leather. This is simply gorgeous. The texture is exquisite...Mariska knows how to do leather well.

And the details on this outfit are beyond fantastic. I love all the lacing detail on the corset, and check out the laces on the elbow-length gloves.

Another thing I love about Mariska as a designer is that she understands the way lingerie should fit a woman's body. Blacklace lingerie does whata good lingerie should do; it accentuates the sensual aspects of a woman's body; hugging those slopes and curves and accentuating the beauty inherent in the female form.

As much as I love leather, latex will always have a place in my wardrobe. I love the sexuality of it, the look and the feel. Nothing feels quite like latex next to the skin. Then there is how it makes you feel. For me, latex makes me feel strong and confident, and in control. So when I saw the Black Widow Latex Set, I bought it instantly.

Isn't this stunningly sexy? I love the shape of it. Again, see how it flows down the body drawing the eye to all the right places? The gloves extending over one finger is a nice touch, and yet another example of Mariska's attention to detail. This set also comes with these gorgeous seamed fishnet stockings, another favorite item of mine. I love the thong panties too. The Black Widow Latex Set just exudes confident sexuality and I'm sure it's going to be a favorite.

When I tp'd Rhodesy over to Blacklace, she immediately fell in love with the Primal Instinct set. This lovely bra and panty set isn't really my style, but Rhodesy adores it. I admit to not expecting to see a zebra striped bra and panty sete but the combination of the black and white zebra print with the bold colors and lace is quite striking. I love the shape of this. It's sexy and feminine.

It comes in six different colors, and seeing how good it looks on Rhodesy, I'm quite tempted to go back and buy it myself. The clasp on the back of the bra is really very realistic looking, and again notice how well the panties hug her curves.

In my next post, I'll show you the rest of the stuff I bought at Blacklace. Let's hope I don't go back and buy more between now and then. If I do, I hope to see you there. Mariska Simons is one of the the best lingerie designers in all of SL. If you've not been there yet, you are definitely missing out.

Let's Hear It For October!

Ah, October. That's when Autumn truly begins for me. I love everything about this month. The cool days and even cooler nights, that scent on the wind that lets you know fall is here, watching the leaves begin to change color, and of course Halloween. This month, more than any other, fills with me joy.

So expect a lot of Fall Fashion and Halloween posts from me this month. There will be the occasional "OMG you must see this even though it has nothing to do with Fall" post, of course, but the majority of my focus will be on what to wear in order to look fashionable and be comfortable in those cooler temperatures.

For my first official "Fall Fashion" post, I decided to talk about some recent purchases. Cajsa gave me a tip the other night that Frangipani Designs was having a huge moving sale. Everything was massively discounted. I'd never been to Frangipani Designs, but grabbed Rhodesy and tp'd over there as fast as I could. (I do love a sale.)

Rach Snookums of Frangipani Designs has a lot of lovely stuff in her store, but it was the "Fall Fashions" that caught my eye immediately. My first purchase was the red Hoodie.

I love hoodies. They're just so cute and comfy. Of course, after I'd bought it I discoverd Rhodesy bought it too, but in purple of course. We also both bought the Entourage jeans in Celestial, but I bought the black ones and she bought blue. So, I decided we should definitely shoot these outfits together.

Before I continue with the photos, I'd like to mention that all of the photos for this post were taken at the Impressione Conservatory, which I discoverd while checking out the Weekend of Beauty event. Impressione is, according to their website http://impressionegroup.com/Impressione.html, "a full service virtual world marketing agency, offering the complete range of services to develop your brand, both in-world and out." They are masters at planning special events and marketing, so if you are in need of one of those services, definitely check them out. While perusing the Weekend of Beauty event, I fell in love with their Conservatory SIM. JennyH GossipGirl of Impressione was nice enough to give me access to their SIM to shoot these photos. So...Fall Fashions.

Here are the Hoodies and Celestial Entourage Jeans from Frangipani Designs.

I love how detailed these are. The zipper and the even the pocket on the front of the hoodie is wonderfully done. The hood on the back is a prim attachment, but it fits well and needed no adjustment on my av. If you decide you'd rather not wear the prim, the texture on the top is drawn so that it still looks like a hoodie, even if you don't wear the hood prim. And the texture on the jeans is very whimsical and fun. Because it's a casual outfit, your choices for hair are vast. You can do a cute and casual updo, like Rhodesy, or opt for a cool, chic hat, like I did. Either way, the outfit is perfect for a day in the apple orchard or admiring fall scenery.

The other outfit we got at Franigpani Designs was the Floral Print Henley and Belted Wool Trousers. I actually bought the fatpack of this outfit. Here, I'm modeling the Red Henley with the black trousers. Rhodesy has on the Blue Henley with the Brown Trousers.

Again, same outfit, two completely different looks depending on the hair and shoes you pair with it.

I also could not resist the Distressed Suede Coat in Espresso.

I adore the texture on this, and the clasps on the front of it are quite well done. I also like that you can turn it into a jacket by taking off the prim bottom.

A lovely, versatile piece for your fall wardrobe.

SPIRIT Dazzlers Holding Auditions!

The SPIRIT Dazzlers is a team of cheerleaders, dancers, and spokesmodels who will represent SPIRIT with class, grace, and style at special events, paid performances, and charity events, model in upcoming SPIRIT catalogs, ads and fashion shows, appear in an annual team calendar, and perform in commercials and videos for SPIRIT. Ladies who are chosen to represent SPIRIT on the SPIRIT Dazzlers team will be paid for their participation at these events and modeling jobs, will have exclusive opportunities to build their modeling portfolios as few others can, and will receive many custom and prereleased SPIRIT designs while an active member on the team.

We will have 2 sections to the audition process, and we will make our final decision by October 11, 2008.

Riddle Me This, Part Two

How many looks can you create with just one outfit from Riddle?

Well, my answer is three but I'm sure you guys can come up with even more.

Last time I posted, I showed you some of the fabulous stuff from Riddle that I just adore. I don't normally do two posts on one store right in a row, but I wanted to show you how much fun I had creating different looks with the Plaid Short Set from Riddle. I did buy it in two colours, and I do mix and match them once, but even if you only buy one color I think you can change the look of this set dramatically just by what you pair with it.

For the first look, I decided I wanted to try to go couture with these pants, and there's no better way to achieve that than mixing and matching. I took the top from one of my Sexy Business Wear outfits, Manhattan by Mischief, and added it to the Red Plaid Shorts from Riddle. The Tamara shoes from ZHAO give the outfit a certain high-end sex appeal, and the necklace from Viva La Glam and the handbag from BAX Boots tie it all together. Prepster cute is what my friend Rhodesy called this look, and I have to agree. The perfect outfit for a day of shopping, maybe even a lunch date, or even walking the catwalk.

For my second look, I decided to do something a bit edgy and a bit punk. No surprise there, I know. I mixed and matched the outfits, choosing the top from the red set and pairing it with the bottoms from the Grey set. I added the WRONG Basic Boots for attitude, and the Aleah hair from ETD gave it that sharp edge I was going for. Add the Apnea Tattoos from Sn@tch (based on the rl tats of my favorite Fetish Model in RL) and some interesting jewelry, and you have punk rock chic.

The last look I created is probably my favorite, though it won't be for everyone. I had just been to see a concert by my favorite Goth band in RL, and was feeling that a bit of CyberGoth might be in order. So, I took the Red Plaid Set, added the WRONG Basic Boots, some tattoos and interesting piercings, and then put on my Restless Punk Hair from Goth1c0 to achieve that CyberGoth look I was longing for. I also did something I don't normally do, and changed my eyes. The Shine Purple Sage Eyes really changed the entire look. Funny how the right set of eyes can sometimes make an outfit go from nice to wow. Aren't these gorgeous? I love the combination of green and purple.

So there you are...three different looks from one fabulous outfit, even if I did use two different colors. Now, how many can you come up with?

Hello again, I'm back with another great SL store for you guys. Actually you can thank our fellow blogger Arcadia, she had this landmark that she thought I just might like. Well let me tell you what, I liked it. I liked it so much I about bought more stuff from this one store than any single store in SL. I could not believe the casual fashions and looks at Emery.

Emery is a fantastic store, nicely laid out, feels like you in an upscale downtown store. The selection is of the casual nature but some of the sweaters can be used as nice dress up outfits also. I tried to get a little piece of each to show you so you can get a good idea of what to expect. They have not just clothes but several accessories also. Everything from hats to a bandanna bracelet. The prices are right where you want them also. So take the time to drop by and check them out.

And on a side note the yacht in the post today is from Cigar yachts. They are the most detailed yachts in SL hands down. You really feel like your on you own yacht. And there drivable also so you can Cruise in style while everyone else in those little stiff boats. Even the show room is upscale you feel like someone at any minute is going to hand you a glass of champagne while your shopping for your yacht.

Riddle Me This

Last week, while scrolling through Iheartsl.com, I saw an ad for a limited edition outfit by Riddle. It was made specifically for the Harajuku Fair and was only available for a few days. The outfit, called {After} School Days, was very cute and a little unusual...unusual enough to make me curious to see what else Riddle had to offer. So, of course, I dropped everything and teleported over there.

I was quite impressed. This fun, quirky store has a little bit of everything, and the prices are VERY reasonable. Don't forget to grab some Cotton Candy on the way in. You'll be there awhile so snacking is not a bad idea. Plus, it makes for cute photos.

The designer, Chrystina Noel, is willing to give us bloggers an outfit to review, so I contacted her and asked for the {After} School Days. She was quite nice, and I enjoyed talking with her. Once I had the outfit in my inventory, I couldn't wait to get back to the studio and try it on.

Now, we all know how it is...sometimes you fall in love with something "on the rack" but when you get it home and try it on, you're left feeling a bit let down. Sometimes the quality isn't what you'd hoped for or it's just not flattering to your shape. But then there are the good times, when you get it home, put it on, and the quality is even better than you thought it was going to be. Such is the case with Riddle.

{After} School Days comes with a ton of different options. Three sleeve lengths for the shirt and two different jumper styles. You could wear just the skirt of the jumper if you wanted. You can wear it with or without the tie, or with or without the leg warmers. Depending upon how you piece this outfit together, the look can be anything from casual to office chic. I chose a more office chic look with the 3/4 quarter inch sleeves, the collar with skull tie, and the skully jumper. (I do love my skulls.) Forgoeing the leg warmers and adding the ZHAO Xinful Boots gave the outfit just the right touch of sexiness.

After trying on {After} School Days, I went back to Riddle to see what else jumped out at me. And the first thing I saw was this Argyle Sweater Dress. If you've picked up anything about my style from reading this blog, you're probably shaking your head in confusion right now.

Arcadia? Argyle? Sweater Dress?

Nooooooo.

You'd be right. I don't generally like Argyle or sweaters, let alone a whole dress made out of it. But this one....this one has skulls!

Cute little skulls in the diamonds of the top. I just...I could not resist it. I tried. I really did! But it called my name so loudly that I gave in and bought it. And then, promptly teleported to Princeton University's SIM to snap some photos.

It's so adorable! I love it. LOVE IT! It's cute, sassy, and my inner goth is thrilled with the tiny skulls. I bought it in red and black, of course, but it comes in four different color combinations. This dress is perfect for those first few months of Autumn when it's not too cold, but not hot either. Another thing I bought at Riddle, which I paired with this outfit, is the Tintable Cableknit Stocking Set. It comes with knee socks, thigh highs, and full tights. The texture is amazing, and--you ready--that's right..tintable! I love it when I can change the color of things. For 120L, that's a steal!

I bought somthing else at Riddle, but you'll have to stay tuned to part two of my "Riddle Me This" post to see what that is. I'm going to show you how versatile the clothing at Riddle is by taking this one outfit and making three different looks out of it. Look for that in a few days.

Armdidi....The Girls Side of The Story!

Armidi has always been one of my favorite stores her in SL and I can't believe I haven't done a full post on it yet. So when I saw Payten do his guys side, I thought it necessary to the do the girls side of the story. See what that is after the jump.
Armidi has got anything fashion that any avi may want. From hair, eyes and nails to lingerie and underwear. The clothing lines range from casual, sexy/hot to glamorous. Armidi Limited is the casual yet funky side where you can find tshirts, jeans, tunic dresses and sunglasses. Gisaci has hi-class sexy shoes, boots and accessories. They also do the exquisite dresses at the top of the hill. Elephant Outfitters is another branch of Armidi and they do the preppy, casual shirts and pants/shorts.
No matter where it is in Armidi, you will find something no matter what your likes. I love the detail and that everything always fits. Also, their clothing is done in layers so that you can wear them in layers with other outfits and still look hip and in style.

Mischief Managed

I know, I know...I've blogged about Mischief before. But that was all about their "Sexy Business Wear", and this is not.

Jani Marlowe decided to change her group to a Subscribe-o-matic group, which makes it easier for her I bet, and frees up groups for we loyal fans, since the Lindens are stingy with the group slots. In honor of the switch, every person that signs up for the Mischief subscribe-o-matic group gets an exclusive free gift: Bring It.

One of the things I love the most about Mischief is the creative naming that goes into each outfit. Half the fun of shopping there is seeing the names of the outfit on the wall that grabs your eye and then giggling when you read it. I have mentioned my love for "Sexy Business Wear" before, but Janie Marlowe also does Clubwear very well. The outfits are always sexy and sassy - perfect for going dancing at your favorite nightclub - and this gift outfit is no exception. I really love the skirt on this one. And the detail in the texture is lovely as always, check out the row of buttons on the top and on the waistband of the skirt.

It comes with knee socks, but I chose to go with bare legs and my Maitreya Virtue shoes. Minimal jewelry for this outfit though, sometimes simple is the best.

While I was at the store joining the subscribe-o-matic, one of the new releases caught my eye. It's called Dream On, and it's similar in style to Bring It, but still unique. I love the lace band around the bottom of the top and the top of the skirt.

I also love how the back of the shirt is all lace. Very sexy.

I paired this one with some great jewelry, a group gift necklace from Alienbear, the slave rings from Bastchild, and the ruby belly piercing from SUS. For shoes, I chose the Mimmi shoes from Storm Schmooz because this skirt just screamed strappy black heels to me.

All this talking about Mischief's Clubwear got me thinking about my very first Mischief outfit, Maxim. So, of course, I had to put it on to go out today. I just love this outfit. I don't get to wear it often enough.

I love the sheer top and the cute little plaid skirt. The best part is probably the straps for garter belts that match the suspender straps on the top.

I paired this with my Basic Boots from WRONG because they are fabulous and very ME.

Ok so it's a corny title, I'm so sorry! I have found my absolutely, positively new favorite store. I am so sorry to all my friends that I have sent the lm to and they have told me that they have taken out second mortgages after shopping at :Bijou. Thanks alot Tati for giving me the hint on this hip and so modern shop. When you tp in you see vibrant colors and omg awesome outfits everywhere. I want one of each...hehe. I bought this red applique wrap shirt that is sheer and oh so delicate that comes with the pin stripe gauchos that I absolutely adore. The other choice you have is a bra or undershirt depending on what mood your in (or how much skin you want to show :)). I seriously wandered around this store forever wanting every single thing in it but was low on lindens at the time and wanted to pick out just one more outfit. When I passed by this very chick two piece skirt ensemble, I had to have it. Of course, you can wear it in the summer heat without the arm warmers but don't they just add to the outfit? Hey there its me again. I know I keep coming back like a case of heartburn. It hurts but you keep coming back for more even if it does. I have had Armidi clothes in my inventory since they opened so what a better place to post on. Armidi is not just for the ladies, us guys can get some very nice, hip, and stylish clothes there to. I know there have been tons of posts on this store but not from the guys point of view. So lets take a look at Armidi.

OK with the good comes the bad its a force of nature that cant be avoided. LAG. just be prepared. But once your up and moving its like being in a fashion super center. For The Love of ZHAO

When I attented the opening of the Alphamale & Blacklace SIM a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet Melanie ZHAO of ZHAO Shoe fame. It was a thrill for me because I've always admired her work. ZHAO Shoes were my first love in Second Life (as far as shoes go, anyway) and I often find myself searching through my inventory for a pair of ZHAO's to complete an outfit.

Melanie was nice enough to gift me with her newest releases, and I thought I'd blog about a particularly fun pair tonight. Usually when I'm creating a look, I start at the top and work my way down but not tonight. Tonight, I started with the shoes. These shoes:

Talk about a fun pair of sexy shoes! I love the metal accents all over these open-toed heels. The best part is the gold lock on the back of the ankle that holds the straps together; a very creative touch.

These shoes are sassy and sexy. I rummaged through my inventory for quite some time trying to figure out exactly what to wear with them. I was just about to give up when something occurred to me. Since ZHAO's were my first love where shoes were concerned, why not pair it with something from my first love in clothing: Last Call.

I chose the Femme Fatale dress from Last Call to pair with the Shy shoes from ZHAO for several reasons. No, it's not just because wearing a dress called Femme Fatale with shoes called Shy is funny. Cause it is. However, I love the flirty hemline of this skirt and the openness of the top. The Jackie hair from ETD in Purple was the finishing touch, mainly because I don't get to wear this purple one very often, but also because I wanted something feminine and sexy that still showed off my eyes and the fabulous eye makeup on this skin.

My dear friend Ipunin had asked me to help her get the word about her Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser that will be going on at Nuki Nuki Beach on September 26 from 7pm SLT - 11pm SLT. Minimum bid starts at $500L.

WHAT DO I RECEIVE?
If you are the winning bid you will receive a date that consists of 2 continuous hours. It is up to the winner to contact “the date” and schedule a time that both can meet and go on their date. This is a charity event and meant to be fun and entertaining for the participants.

Blacklace...And A Bit Of Leather Too

Alphamale & Blacklace had the Grand Opening of their new SIM a few weeks ago. The whole place is gorgeous! The Blacklace store is one of the most opulently designed stores I've ever seen. It's rich colors, dark wood floors, and dark wall treatments are a delight for the eyes. I felt like I'd stepped into a sumptuous boudoir. Yelmer Pfeffer and Mariska Simons, both of whom I met that night andfound to be lovely people, did a fantastic job on that place. If you've not been there, you should go just for the experience of stepping inside their sensual world. Alphamale is stunning too, very sleek and modern. Bright and bold. A direct contrast to Blacklace, but then--they should be. There's a jazz club too and a mall on the new SIM, but I've not been able to go to the club yet. Maybe someday I'll have some free time to check it out. Of course, I meant to blog about it then, but RL got in the way. It has a nasty habit of doing that, doesn't it? But the SIM was so fabulous and the lingerie I bought so stunning, that I just had to blog it...even if I am a few weeks late.

This past weekend I had some free time in world, so I decided to do some inventory sorting. Not particularly riveting, but a necessary evil. While lounging around my STILL unfurnished house (though I do have some rugs and artwork out) I decided to pull out the lingerie I bought at Blacklace and snap some photos. The first set I put on is the Black and White Laced Bra Set.

I adore this set. It's so pretty and feminine. I don't usually wear white, but this texture was so stunning I couldn't resist. And what I love most is that, because of the different layer options, it's easy to wear with any outfit. Rhodesy and I took a friend who is new to SL shopping the other night (to Alphamale no less) and I wore this underneath my Dalini shirt and capri pants from Decoy. There's nothing like wearing a pretty bra and panty set underneath your clothing to make you feel flirty and feminine.

My second favorite outfit from Blacklace is the Tangible Dreams set in Red Velvet. This set is just scrumptious. There's no other word for it. The texture is so lovely you want to reach out and touch it, the color is rich and gorgeous, and the stockings and garters lend the right amount of sexiness to make any avatar wearing this a complete knockout. By the way, see I do have artwork on the walls!

This last set is a little bit different and is probably not for everyone, but it's perfect for me. Dark Lusts is an ensemble made entirely of black leather. I LOVE LOVE LOVE leather. I love the way it looks, the way it feels, the way it hugs the curves of your body, and even the way it smells. There's nothing quite like quality leather, and the fact that Mariska Simmons has a set made out of it in her store makes me a very happy girl.

This set is powerful and seductive. Even if you don't swing into the darker side of lust, it's a stunning set of lingerie. A definite work of art.

I never did get my inventory sorted, but I got to lounge around in fabulously sexy lingerie. Not a bad weekend, all things considered.

Ok first I want to start by apologizing that I have been gone for awhile...RL has really taken ahold of me and I am finally back and ready to go again. Second, I have decided to do this post on College Football due to the fact that I am the Florida Gators Number 1 fan and WOOHOO it is finally game time! This weekend were the first games of the season for many teams and I wish you all luck this year but if you aren't a Gator you are Gator Bait! :) I wanted to show my spirit with my Gator cheerleading uniform by Nella's Designs and my tennies by SPIRIT. Its a jungle out there, Even in SL

OK, time to get back on track. The summer has been one I wont forget. But the fall is upon us kids are back in school (thank goodness for small favors). I am even starting to see Halloween stuff at the local stores already. So with the fall coming means fall fashions and new outfits. I found myself at Jungle Wear and could not believe the selection.
Jungle Wear has everything and the best part is that it is all for men. You don't have to wade through the skirts, dresses, and crop tops to find what your looking for. You TP in and boom everything is there for the buying. It's a one stop shopping store for all your men's fashion needs. I started by finding some shirts both casual and dressy. And of course I had to get a pair of jeans to wear with them. But I have to point out one shirt I received from there as a gift and it is a skeleton sitting at a computer with the words "congratulation you have been logged on to SL."
But, don't let me stop you there. You have the opportunity to buy everything from hats to shoes and everything in between. Plus, you can buy it by the piece or in outfits cause you know us men were lazy and some of us don't have the best fashion sence, so buying the outfit means not stripes with polka dots. And the prices are very good there also. So take a few minutes to check them out and I am sure you will find something you like.

I was flipping through the second edition of the Modavia Fashion Directory the other night, and I came across a section entilted "Emerging Designers." This was probably my favorite part of the entire publication as I am ALWAYS on the lookout for the newest fashion finds in SL. I mean, my inventory is under ten thousand...I obviously don't have enough clothing yet. Right?

The designer that caught my eye the most was Anyusha Lilienthal and her Ibizarre clothing line. The clothes in the photo were gorgeous and seemed to be exactly my style, so I grabbed my friend Rhodesy and we tp'd over to Ibizarre as fast as SL would allow. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. The building was gorgeous and the clothes were fantastic. When we saw the prices, we were even more excited. Everything was quite reasonably priced and would fit into any clothing budget. I also liked the diversity of the styles in the clothing offered. Something for everyone is definitely a plus and Ibizarre has it. Click the jump to see what I mean.

I snagged this fantastic leather dress at the outlet store, which is off to the left of the main store. Be sure to check that out as everything in there is deeply discounted.

The texture is gorgeous and very detailed, which I love. It's a great dress for a night on the town, or even a date if you're looking for an edgy look. I paired it with the Maitreya Virtue shoes in Patent Leather and they were the perfect choice; sleek and sexy.

In the main store, I snagged several hundred lindens worth of stuff, but I think this Edina Dress is one of my favorites. It's a simply stunning black vintage style dress. I love the brocade texture that accentuates the waist. That same texture is on the fantastic oversized collar of this dress. It is a prim, so you could wear the dress without that accent, if you prefer, but I think the collar is part of what gives this dress such a vintage feel.

I kept this look fairly simple, with just a bracelet and some earrings. For shoes, I chose the Kammykaze shoes from Storm Schmooz. These elegant little slingbacks were the perfect accent to my vintage look. Aren't they gorgeous?

After several hours of shopping and traipsing across the grid, I decided to end my day by relaxing on the beach. Good thing I grabbed a great little beach bag at Ibizarre. It comes with everything you need for a lovely day at the beach.

Once I had the bag, I decided I needed new swimwear as well. Ibizarre has a great set called Breezy. The texture is gorgeous and it comes in a variety of colors, including the blue one you see here.

This little bikini was perfect for playing in the water and lounging on the beach to catch those last rays of summer sunshine. I stayed until the sun was gone and it was time to go home. For my trip home, I donned the more modest shirt and wrap around skirt that came with my bikini. I love the stripes on this skirt. They create a nice contrast with the texture of the top.

I'm so glad I found Ibizarre and I can't wait to see what Anyusha Lilienthal comes up with in the future. If her current line is any indication, she's definitely one to watch.

From the Live Strong Organization to the Rely for Life, it is fantastic how you can gather people from around the world and unite them in one issue. Putting differences aside no matter what corner of the globe he or she may come from, heart ache does not discriminate. So in this we find that all of us no matter who we are share a common bond. That bond is to fight heart ache in all forms big and small across all seven continents.

Right now there is a worthy cause going on right now and it’s HAIR FAIR 2008. It is four sims of the best hair designers in sl all in one place. Four sims to explore and buy hair not only in some cases a discount but also helping Locks Of Love. A lock of Love is an organization that helps children. The statement below is from their website and please read more at Locks of Love on how to donate your hair.
Mission Statement “Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.”
The proceeds from buying hair at the fair will go towards this cause and help them help the children that need it. So go on down there and check them out, it’s for a good cause.

Slink Into Leather

Every wardrobe has it staples. There's the little black dress, the perfect pair of jeans, the basic t-shirt, etc. Then there are those versatile pieces you can build different looks from. Take a pair of capri pants, for example. Depending on what you pair with it, they can be casual or a little bit dressy. These pieces are just as important as those staples, perhaps even more so, because they give you options. I love having options, which is why I was so excited when I stumbled across the perfect pair of leather pants.

Yes, I know what you're thinking...leather pants? Are you crazy? I know...they go in an out of style, sure. But the key is that they ALWAYS come back in. And do you know why? Because nothing makes your derriere look quite as good as the perfect pair of leather pants. Of course, there is the added bonus of being figure flattering and looking great with your best stilletto heels and your clompiest boots. And let's not forget the reason to wear them in the first place, attention. Nothing grabs the eye like well fitting leather pants. You'll always be noticed. Where can you find this fabulous new wardrobe must-have? They're at Slink: The Art of Beauty. Taking this one pair of pants and adding different items from my inventory, I was able to create four distinct looks pretty effortlessly. I could have put together a ton more, I'm sure, and I am sure you can take these and make them your own as well. The options are limitless, really. Let's check out what I came up with, shall we?

Everday Casual
Leather pants are probably not the first thing you think of when someone says the word casual, but they really work quite well. Pair them with your favorite shirt, or a band t-shirt and some causal boots and you're ready for perusing through the newest releases at the record store...

... or grabbing a cup of coffee and a bagel at the coffee house. Of course, since we have the luxury of changing our hair like we change our clothes in SL, I took advantage of that and put on the Aleah hair from ETD to give the outfit a bit of attitude.

Rocker Chic

The last time I went to the club to listen to my friend Maht DJ, I threw on these leather pants and one of the Work Shirts from WRONG. A pair of boots, some jewelry, and yet another ETD hair later, I exemplified Rocker Chic. I can't tell you how many compliments I got on those pants. The leather was even inspected, and it passed with flying colors.

Date Night
Pairing the leather pants with a red silk top, like this one from Decoy, lends a richness of color and texture that will guarantee your date will only have eyes for you. Add a soft yet tousled hair style and some strappy shoes to make this the perfect outfit for date night. It's gorgeous, rich in color and texture, yet not overdone.

And really, leather pants always act like a magnet. The leather is so buttery soft, your date won't be able to not touch them.

Femme Fatale
This is going to be one of my favorite outfits, I think, and is yet another example of taking your lingerie out of the bedroom. I paired the Slink leather pants with a corset from Casa del Shai for an incredibly sexy look. Adding the Secret hair from Abyss gave the outfit a hint of power and danger.

I chose the patent leather Virtue shoes by Maitreya, and I think they compliment these pants perfectly. Plus, come on...wearing a pair of shoes named Virtue with this outfit. It was too good to pass up. In the end, I have an outfit that is powerful and seductive.

There you have it. One pair of fabulous pants, a quick raiding of my inventory, and ta-da: Four fabulously different looks. Strut on over to Slink and snag these wonderful pants in any of the numerous color choices they offer. I guarantee you they'll be one of your most versatile pieces.

A Delicate Choice from Insolence

Summer Flowers, Sea Breaze, Sunsets are what I think of when I wear this set from Insolence. Camilla Yosuke loves summer and she loves flowers so she decided to paint on the finest silks and put intricate details into this sexy and delicate ensemble. She truly put so much love into this and it shows.
The Flore ensemble which is named after the Roman Godess of flowers, is a light, soft tones set. It comes in 2 panties (one as a full fit and one as a string bikini), 2 bras (one is a triangle and one is a half cup), and a prim add on that makes both styles into a light and sexy teddy. They also come with little bows that attach to show off the belly. The ensemble comes in six colors white, pink, peach, lavendar, green and pink. A few of the colors are very close in their shades but if you look closely you can truly see the delicate features and differences in them. Camilla has also added an extra prim teddy in case of a oops in modifying your first one. Thanks Camilla for that. Cause I am probably one that has messed one up...hehe. I truly love Camilla's designs and have all of them in my inventory. I really recommend Insolence for beautiful, sexy and beautiful ensembles. I look forward to their next creation.

Comfy, Casual, Can't live without......T-Shirts

Everyone has those days of not wanting to get all dressed up and all. For those days we all love comfy, cozy, casual t-shirts. There is nothing like a favorite t-shirt and everyone has theirs. Whether it’s a old concert tee to that football team that you root for every weekend. No inventory is complete without one, or fifty. So when I was meandering around Purple Rose I found that they indeed had a t-shirt shop.
I have a feeling that most of you have been to Purple Rose but most of you have been there for the jewelry. They have awesome work in that department. But, what you might not of known is that if you actually go outside and down the street then you will find the Purple Rose T-shirt and hat shop.
The shop has a very upscale atmosphere and nicely layed out. The shirts are very detailed and colorful. I would have to say that you can find a color shirt there that will match any of your needs.
The hats are there to match even the shirts that match the pants that match the shoes. So pick up one or two and you will not be disappointed.

Costume Reveal

Ah, costume parties. They can be such fun but, depending on the theme, finding the right costume can prove difficult. I have found that piecing a costume together can be much more fun and creative then buying a ready to wear one. Now, I'm not saying never buy a ready to wear costume, because sometimes they fit the theme perfectly. I'm just saying...if you've not tried piecing together your own, give it a try next time you get invited to a costume party. You'll see what I mean.

For MDR's Midsummer Night's Dream Party, I decided to go as Queen Titania. I chose that particular costume idea for two reasons: 1) She's a great charachter in the play, and 2) My rl name is derived from Titania and means "Queen of Fairies." So really, it made perfect sense for me to attend the party as Queen Titania. But I also knew that there was a very good chance others would have the same idea as me. So, I decided to create my own unique Titania look. LOTS of shopping later, I came up with what I thought was the perfect costume to portray the Queen of the Summer Court.

My costume started with the dress. I know most fairy costumes aren't much on clothing, but I thought Queen Titania should have a lovely dress. I wandered into Fancy Fairy Wings and Fashions and fell in love with the Champagne and Roses dress. Designer Violaine Villota has made a stunning confection of a dress. I love the red bodice and the way the material lays. The texture is stunning. It's delictate and beautiful. It comes with several skirt options, but I chose the longest for my costume.

In the same store, I found the most gorgeous pair of fairy wings I've ever laid eyes on: The Scripted Kira Wings in Blood Velvet. The wings open and close as you walk and have the most gorgeous texture on them. They're absolutely stunning and I love the richness of the colors. The red in the wings went perfectly with the Champagne and Roses dress.

The next item on my list was a new skin. My friend Rhodesy Durant found the perfect one for me at *~{Frick}. The Peaches - Shamrocked v.1 skin was the perfect summery compliment to my outfit. Oh, and the hair I chose was the Sharon hair from Sirena in blonde with red tips. I wanted something elegant yet fun, and the Sharon hair was perfect for that.

The crowning touch (pun intended) to the outfit was the Princess Carlita set from Alienbear Designs. This set comes with a crown, earrlings, necklace, scepter, and bracelets. The detail on Alienbear jewelry is to die for, really. I can't say enough good things about the work of Alienbear Gupte. Simply stunning.

The finishing touches was YIP's magrttes fantasy eyes that look like a summer sky, a cute little fairy wand (which I have absolutely no recollection of how it came to be in my inventory), fairy dust on my feet which was a gift from Rhodesy, and the Avilion Mist Fantasy Collection in Moonlight. This stunning jeweled set comes in all sorts of shapes and is color changing as well. A very fun accent.

In the end, there were other Titania's at the party but my costume was still unique and original. That's the best advantage for piecing a costume together. No one will look quite like you.

Join the MDR staff tonight, Friday August 8th, at 7 p.m. sltas we celebrate Midsummer and pay homage to one of Shakespeare's best plays. Music, merriment,prizes, and fun decor are all in the works. We'll also be giving away lindens for the Best Midsummer Costume so come dressed in your fairy best.

MDR Staff will be dressed up as well but, alas, our costumes are a secret until the big event. Shopping for costumes is such fun. And piecing a costume together from different things can be more exciting and challenging then buying a ready made outfit. Right to be WRONG!

WRONG is definitely on my top ten list of favorite stores in SL. So when I heard they were having a freebie hunt to celebrate their new store, I couldn't wait to participate. The prizes were hidden in cute little chocolate bars as the store is now located in a renovated chocolate factory.

I like the new store. It's sleek and spacious...the perfect place to sell the kind of clothing WRONG specializes in. My friend Rhodesy and I spent a little time there grabbing all the bars of chocolate we could find. But not only did WRONG owners spoil us with chocolatey freeness, they also set out a few special items for a "Less Than 50L" sale. More photos and info after the jump.

I grabbed this Clip skirt for 25L and the Splatter top for 10L. A fantastic outfit for less than 50L, what could be better?

Rhodesy and I both grabbed this great pinstripe top she's wearing. I love the details on WRONG clothing. The rings on the front and the straps on the back make this top extraordinary. She paired it with two of the freebies we found on the hunt, the purple A-Line skirt and the cross necklace. Another outfit for less than 50L.

But wait...there's always more.

My third grab from the sale table was this fantastic black velvet coat. At 30L, this is more than a steal. I paired it with my stripped jeans from Decoy and my favorite WRONG boots for a fun and sexy look. I love the versatility of this piece...you can dress it up or dress it down and always look fabulous.

One of the freebies on the hunt was the Blue Patch Dress. I bought the red version a few weeks ago, so I thought I'd model that one instead. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress. It's super cute yet retains that edgy fabulousness WRONG is famous for. It has corset lacing on the back and I love the black shoulder straps, though I can't decide if they look like ribbon or leather. Either way, it's a fun addition to this dress.

It's Friday and that means it's time for the 80's party at MDR Photo Studio. Coming up with an appropriate outfit was not as easy as I thought it would be. My original idea was to go as Madonna from Lucky Star. Alyssa Bijoux even made me a great big star earring for the costume. But alas, I couldn't find the rest of the pieces to go with it. So I opted for casual 80's instead.

But, when all else fails, I say go WRONG. I LOVE this store and probably have a majority of their stock in my inventory. Their clothing is edgy and fabulous. Rocker chick, Gothy girl, or Punk chic - no matter your style you can find something to love at WRONG. Go check them out. They recently did a remodel (well, it's recent to me at least) and always have great deals on clothing.

So...wanna see what I'm wearing to 80's night?

Of course, my favorite band of the 80's was Duran Duran (they still are my favorite band, in fact) and the side project a few of the member did, Arcadia, is one of my all-time favorite records. I took my avatar's name from that record so I thought it only fitting that I wear an Arcadia t-shirt to 80's night. I paired that with the Black Bondage Mini with straps from WRONG, along with the red stripey socks and their Basic Boots. For jewlery, what is more 80's than black jelly bracelets? I snagged those at Cake.

Rev Your Engines At Dominus Motor Company!

My friend Rhodesy and I were wandering around the Port Seraphine SIM (Home of Pixel Dolls) the other night and wandered into a store called Dominus Motor Company. I immediately recognized that this was not your average clothing store. The first thing that caught my eye were some super cute boots that came in a pack of nine. Nine different pairs of boots...for 50L. You can bet I snagged those right away. It did not take us long to discover how much fun stuff was priced so low. Nothing I bought was over 100L and the quality is quite good. The best part is the amount of options you get with each piece. Each shirt I bought has several pieces. You can wear one piece, or all three. And it changes the look of the outfit dramatically. I love outfits like that. Rhodesy and I snagged tons of stuff. Click the jump for pictures and info.

Now it's obvious from the name of the store that this is meant to be used as racing gear but instead, I decided to channel my inner Angelina Jolie and head out to The Wastelands SIM.

First up is the Velocity Femme outfit, which I paired with the Heel boots, option #3. I'm wearing the jacket and the undershirt here, but you can wear it with one or the other. It also comes with the options of skirt:

The gloves come with it, but the leg dagger does not. You have to go to Magika for that.

Angelina Jolie, eat your heart out.

The second outfit is actually several pieces from Dominus Motor Company, starting with the Torque Femme top in red. This is just the undershirt. You can add the jacket and the shirt layers for a more covered look. I bought the Bottoms Set which comes with several options for hot pants, ruffle skirts, and mini skirts. This first photo is of the ruffle skirt. The second photo is the slim mini, which is uber sexy. Again, I paired it with the Heel Boots, option #3 and I got these fun driving gloves too. Nine different colors for 50L.

The back of this outfit is really fun too. I love the line of material that goes down the back. And the silver on the waistband of the skirt is a nice touch.

So race (yes, bad pun intended) over to Dominus Motor Company and snag some of this crazy fun racing gear. And if, like me, cars aren't really your thing, snag it anyway and let your inner bad ass chick come out and play.

And speaking of play, I'd like to mention that MDR Photo Studio is having an 80's themed party on Friday at 7 p.m. slt. Put on your best 80's gear and head over ot the studio for 80's tunes, dancing, and prize giveways, including a photo shoot with each of the photographers. Should be lots of fun. I hope to see some of you there.

MichaMi Rawks!

When I started reading blogs, MichaMi's blog was the first one that I looked on a daily basis. I loved the way that she would piece things together from different outfits and not just wear one outfit all the time. She would take a skirt from Last Call and a shirt from Camie Cooper and make it look Hot! My obsession got to be so bad that I would log on in the morning at work and print out the "what I'm wearing" section along with the pic of the outfit and when I logged in to SL that evening would rush around to all the stores and get each piece of the puzzle....I began to do my outfits like this and started to think that just buying one outfit was just not a challenge any longer so I had to find what I could mix and match. Now shopping was so much more fun. :) Find more pics and story after the jump.

I also think that MichaMi has been my inspiration for blogging. Her short narratives of what she was wearing along with flawless pics was exactly what I wanted to do for the SL population. So thank you so much Milla you truly are my hero... I had gone on her blog a few days and there were no new posts for her and usually if she was going on vacation she would make sure to have someone step in so there were no long breaks for us to go into withdrawals. This time there was a break but when she came back to let us know that she was making her own designs now...OMG....I was so excited. Her look is classy, stylish and sexy. I rush into by anything that is new and I wanted to share with you two outfits I recently purchased. You should go visit her shop though because MichaMi is true style in SL!

I had to take some pics in these really cool new pose frames from Lost Angel's frames.....They are so much fun and I love their poses. They come up with such creative and different things. I am always waiting to see what they will come up with next. In these three pics above I am wearing MichaMi's Bandeau Dress in Brown and in this folder you get the choice of the accents of being turquoise, orange and blue. What a classy dress, I don't want to take it off..lol. This dress comes in Orange, purple, red, light blue, beige, white and the brown I am wearing.

In these pics I have used Long Awkward Pose's awesome ladder prop and you know I must say that Dove Swanson, you are a genius. I love your creative mind...I am wearing MichaMi's Glitter Tube top that was given as a group gift. It is in its beta form now and will be released sometime this week. (It may change a bit before released but will still be stunning, I am sure ;)) . I have added an under shirt from Savvy and my bouclet belt from Fancy Schmancy. The pants are from Armidi and the hair from ETD. I will give more details in the what I am wearing section below. It's All In The Details At Decoy!

Friends often send me landmarks for stores they think I should visit. Most of the time, I go check them out as soon as I get them. But sometimes, I'm in the middle of a shoot or working on something else, and they get buried in my inventory. It takes someone asking me if I've gone or seeing the store in another blog to jog my memory. Such was the case with the landmark for Decoy.

I've had this landmark for at least a week, maybe longer. I completely forgot about it until I saw a post in Ana Lutetia's Blog yesterday. As soon as I finished reading, I teleported over to Decoy and boy did I spend some lindens! Click the jump to see all the fun stuff I bought!

I have a rule of thumb whilst shopping around the grid: if something catches my eye enough to make me say "ooooooh" even if it's not my style or in the range of my usual color pallatte, I buy it. Period. That is how I got the Baiastice dress I blogged about a month or so ago. At Decoy, it was the Elisa dress.

Isn't this a great dress? Wine and Tangerine are really not colors I'd normally buy, and especially not together. But how could I resist this dress? I couldn't. It comes in a multitude of colors, but this combination caught my eye, so this is the color I bought. I may get more later. I just love the richness of the colors and the realism of the textures. It makes you want to reach out and touch the fabric. I couldn't decide which hair I liked more, so I snapped photos of both.

The Sanrio top is the entire reason I ran to Decoy in the first place. I LOVE this top. Fatpacks are your friend at this store, ladies. This one is Storm, a mix of grey and teal. I love the texture on this, the swirl pattern is exquisite and reminds me of an art piece I saw once.

But it's not just a top...it's also a bikini. I mean, really...in the area of versatility, does it get any better? Throw on your bikini, go sunbathing, and play in the ocean. Then, when the sun goes down, throw on a pair of capris and some sandals. Instant transformation. I love those.

And you can wear it as the bikini top or a full top, which I wore in Midnight Aqua to sit around the campfire at MDR while my friend Maht streamed some music for us. Fabulously versatile piece. A definite must in any wardrobe.

Speaking of capris, I bought a ton of the Genesis 10 capris at Decoy. The texture is amazingly detailed...buttons, belt loops, even the zipper. And they actually look like denim...not just a denim color covering your leg. Oh, and I love the little prim cuffs at the bottom.

I also snagged the Dalini top in red. This is going to be one of my all time favorite shirts, I believe. The texture is wonderful, the neckline perfect. And I love the little row of buttons down the back and the rouching of the fabric around the center. It's sexy but not overly done. Unfortunately, the photos don't do this piece justice. Trust me when I say it's another item you want to just reach out and touch. I may have to have this in a few other colors as well.

There's so much fun stuff at Decoy, I think you should teleport over there right now and have yourself a little shopping spree. For amazing textures like this, their prices are definitely a bargain. I can't wait to see what they come out with next.

Planes Boats and Automobiles.....OH MY

When Pyper decided to let me post on the blog, we thought of doing not only the guy fashion but also all the TOYS that we guys like. Let's be honest: if we're all dressed up with nowhere to go, then what's the purpose of getting out of bed at all? Well, I found the one stop shopping center for all the toys you'll ever need. The place is called Greatescapes.

Whether you want a plane, boat, car, and helicopter—you name it—it's there. The short list is, and I can't even start to name everything, as follows: ATV's, military helicopters, civilian helicopters both normal and with floats on them for water landings, boats, cars, and planes.In the middle is a section for that little kid in you. There are tons of remote control vehicles: cars, planes, and helicopters. I'll tell you what—I have one of the helicopters, and it is so much fun.

What really, at least for me, sets this place aside from the others is the demos. There is a demo of a couple helicopters, a plane, a boat and a car. You can try them out see how they handle, and not just on that sim. I took the plane up for a spin, and oh yeah, even my sl dog would not ride with me. But I flew all over seeing how it reacts to sim crossing and even played with the menus like it was my own plane. Let me tell you how glad I was that there was no "you break it, you buy it" clause….cause my plane sank.

So if you’re looking for a new ride, a boat to party on, or plane to crash…..i mean fly like me then this is the place. The prices are great and the service is outstanding. When you buy a vehicle there you’ll be given the chance to join their club so you can rezz a boat or plane or helicopter there and fly. And it has about 60+ sims to explore. So let you inner child out and go have fun.

Strike A Pose!

I am a Customer Service Concierge for First Meta (the SL credit card and savings account) and I received a question from Pier Tempel of Lost Angels poses. After talking and letting him know that I absolutely love their poses and use them all the time I was sent a present in my inventory. It was their Boudoir chaise lounge, boudoir chair, and puff. Oh how I love this set! I threw on my Spider outfit from Cachet and here ya go!!!! LA poses has very sexy couple poses along with many many single poses for all your modeling and ao needs. I am doing more pics than writing today just because I need to show you what the chair and chaise can do. Plus you don't have to hear me Yack!!! Short and Sweet

I'm in a very monochromatic kind of mood today. Luckily, I happened to wander into Elemiah Designs and found the perfect outfit to fit my mood.

Vog is a cute black and white summery dress. Yes, I know summer is usually about color...but I love this little dress, especially the flower pattern on the top. It lends just the right touch of whimsy and femininity. The skirt is a bit shorter than I normally wear, but it was the perfect compliment to the top. The best part about Vog is that it's versatile. For an edgier look, I paired it with the Razies from Reaction and DDD's Metro Stitch shoes to create a unique look that is all me.

Of course, this is just one example of all the amazing things you can find at Elemiah Designs. I certainly plan to go back and buy more. And with such affordable prices, I'll be getting ALOT more.

Oh...and don't fret, there is plenty of color to be had there. Dresses, casual, lingerie...you name it, you can probably find it at Elemiah Designs. Fun summer shopping...not much beats that.

The SPIRIT Dazzlers is a team of cheerleaders, dancers, and spokesmodels who will represent SPIRIT with class, grace, and style at special events, paid performances, and charity events, model in upcoming SPIRIT catalogs, ads and fashion shows, appear in an annual team calendar, and perform in commercials and videos for SPIRIT. Ladies who are chosen to represent SPIRIT on the SPIRIT Dazzlers team will be paid for their participation at these events and modeling jobs, will have exclusive opportunities to build their modeling portfolios as few others can, and will receive many custom and prereleased SPIRIT designs while an active member on the team.

We will have 3 sections to the audition process, and we will make our final decision by July 31, 2008. Also attached is a breakdown of dates and an application.

2. The second portion to the auditions will be an invitation-only interview where you will be interviewed by SPIRIT Dazzlers Team Owner SavannahAnn McMillan and myself.

3. The third portion will be a tryout which will be a review of terms and moves. You will be given a move and you will just have to execute it in an order asked by the choreographer.

Not so Rugged at Rughster

Okay, if you're anything like me, then this has happened to you. I bought some shirts, went to the house to unpack them, and when I put them on my avi, I absolutely loved the look. So then here I am wearing these new shirts till there so dirty they walk by themselves, and I want more. But I cannot remember where I bought it, and my inventory is such a mess, I couldn't find the original file it came which included the LM. But, good things seem to come to those who wait. I tp'd into a store looking recently for new clothes, and I recognized where I was before it finished rezzing. The store with the amazing shirts is called Rughster.

I walked in with a a big smile on my face in real life. I was like a kid in a candy store; not only is there a good selection, but the prices are also hard to beat. Rughster gives you the choice between buying clothes as a whole outfit or ala -carte. I went crazy buying, shirts, pants, and even a sling bag that looks very real.
The thing that really caught my eye was the fact that not only were the shirts affordable already, but each came with 4 to 5 different color options. Mixed with the t-shirt set I bought (which had undershirts in white, gray, and black), I went from having one shirt to about 50 unique and well designed combos. Now that's a value!

The wonderfully talented Janie Marlowe has done it again, ladies. Cabaret is the newest release over at Mischief, and though it can be worn as a casual outfit, I'm throwing it into my "Sexy Business Wear" folder right this minute.

Cabaret comes in three rich colors, Bluebird, Leaf, and Fuschia but I chose to show you Bluebird as I love this particular shading of blue. More photos and such behind the jump.

This outfit has so much fabulous going on, I'm in love already. The pants are black with colored pinstripes that match the color of the top and Mischief does good pinstripes! The row of buttons on each side are a great little detail as well. I love the bell sleeves and the sexy open collar. I love the addition of suspenders with all their little details. They definitely add some sex appeal to this outfit.

I think the most surprising part of this outfit are the prim ruffles that hang along the plunging neckline of this top. At first, I was honestly a little unsure about them...but the more I wear this outfit around the studio, the more I like those ruffles. The combination of the sexy plunging neckline and the fun and firty ruffles work well on this top.

Also availble at Mischief is the Cabaret hair, a super cute updo in a variety of shades and colors. It's got a super cute hat that matches the colors of the outfits. Definitely a fun touch if you want to wear this outfit out on the town...or even perform onstage. ;)

I decided I love this outfit for the office and for going out after work. So for a nighttime look, I took off the collar and the ruffles and added a long necklace and some matching earrings. I love outfits that are versatile.

So whether you want to look sexy at the office, out on the town, or just hanging out, Cabaret is the perfect outfit for you.

My friend and fellow photographer Rhodesy Durant and I decided to take a break from our hectic schedules and go lie in the sun somewhere. As we were lying there, we began chatting about shopping, of course, and how much fun our "work clothing" was. It then occurred to me that I should do a post on what I wear to work. And for what I like to call "Sexy Business Wear", there isn't really anyone who does it better than Mischief.

Today, I'm wearing my newest Mischief purchase, Manhattan. I love the combination of the white Oxford shirt with the grey vest. Rhodesy is wearing Splendor in white. Check out those cute sleeves! Follow the jump to see more stuff from Mischief.

Brat is one of my favorites from Mischief. It's classy enough to wear to work but still maintains that raw and edgy look I gravitate towards.

Evelyn is for those serious business meetings and for meeting potential clients. Powerful black suit with the white shirt underneath. The neckline is open enough to add just the right amount of sex appeal.

In Suspense is another favorite and one of my first outfits to be classified as "Sexy Business Wear". I love love LOVE this outfit. The corset and suspenders just scream sexy and the pants are perfectly textures.

Power Princess is another new one. I love the pinstripes and the metallic belt on this one. Classy, sexy, and edgy all in one.

Mischief has tons of great stuff, from club wear to casual wear, to lingerie. But for "Sexy Business Wear" no one does it better.

Reactions New Look!

I know that you have seen Reaction Surf wear on our blog before. But, you have never seen it like this. Keep reading to see that clothes are not the only new things that Reaction is serving up. That's because Radical the owner of Reaction is opening a whole new store as of the 30th of June. The store is going to be located in a new area featuring not only the huge new store but also, the famous Boneyard Bar will be there as well. Also in Radical style there are waves to surf, beaches to hang out on, and my personal favorite, the Cave.

This is more of a post to announce Rad's new store and land than one of fashion. If you're an avid reader then you know about Reactions clothing line. The wonderful guys board shorts and for the females on the beach the hot little bikinis. And for the new readers, welcome, and Reaction has much much more than that. You can find everything from t-shirts and jeans to a polo shirt and cargo shorts. I will not even try to describe the girls' side of Reaction, for I want the illusion to stay intact that I understand female fashion. Check out my pictures here on the blog for some examples of what you can find at Reaction. You have to check out the surrounding area, from the bar for dancing to the HUGE grotto for climbing rocks and hanging out with friends in what I think is the most unique place to hang out. You can even die on the beach…. And I don't mean die in relaxation but get eaten by a shark. Check out the beach and you will know what I mean. Well Rad has done it he has combined shopping with entertainment, and entertainment with fun so quit reading this and go.

I was going to just put the press release about the Ballet Pixelle (formerly Second Life Ballet) dance auditions on here but I decided to take the time to say a few things about this amazing company. I am a dancer in the corp and have enjoyed every minute of it. We do work hard and long hours but in the end it is so worth it. We have created a family of dancers, crew and staff that have come together to make it what it has become. Always there for one another to help go over the dances, run music, put out sets or just to lend an ear. If you have a love for arts, music, and friendship come and join us this Sunday at 6slt for dancer auditions. There are no pose balls or chims just timing with the music and gestures that are created by the wonderful and talented, Inarra Sarrinen. We all come from all over the world to bring you the stories that take you back in time and bring them to this virtual world. We will welcome new dancers and can't wait to see all of you!

Dancer Auditions for Ballet Pixelle(Formerly Second Life Ballet)
“If you have the chance to sit it out or dance . . .Dance!”
Ballet Pixelle has opportunities for dancers to join this dedicated company of artists in Second Life. This is a unique opportunity to blend the best of artistic and technical worlds, creating performances that stretch dance and storytelling possibilities within the ballet tradition.
The company performs original ballets choreographed by Inarra Saarinen to music created for each ballet by SL musicians. Performances are twice a week at the
BALLET PIXELLE'S THEATRE IN THE
IBM sim. In addition to the performance schedule, each ballet requires several weeks of rehearsal.
Poseballs and automatic animations are not used in Ballet Pixelle performances. Dancers move independently, enacting steps and gestures coordinated with the rest of the cast and to the music. For example a typical rehearsal period during creation of a new ballet is 3 to 4 months with two OR MORE rehearsals OF TWO HOURS each week. We all have First Lives, but to be fair to the company and the collaborative nature of our work, Ballet Pixelle must be considered a priority. Professionalism and serious commitment are required; a sense of humor is appreciated.
Dancers who want to test the experience have an opportunity at the Second Life 5th Birthday exhibit space of Ballet Pixelle. In the center of the exhibit space a dance floor with “follow the footsteps” shoeprints invites visitors to pick up a package of three Ballet Pixelle animations and dance by sequencing them along the choreographic diagram. This activity provides a sense of the way Ballet Pixelle dancers work in performance.
Auditions will be held at Ballet Pixelle Home Theatre on Sunday, June 29, 208 at 6pm SLT
Qualifications:
Applicants should be mature in First Life and have at least six months experience in Second Life.
Dancers should know some basic ballet and theater terminology.
IT IS PREFERRED THAT DANCERS KNOW SOME...
In addition, participants should have Second Life skills including how to change clothing and skin, transform shape including gender, AND move fluidly in three dimensional space and rez objects.
At the audition:
Come dressed in something simple such as a leotard, preferable a solid single color. Do not wear shoes with heels. Do not wear anything with bling. Do not wear tutus or dress as a character.
We will audition dancers individually, but other auditioners may sit in the audience.
You will be given animations at the audition. You do not need animations, gestures or a HUD.
I AM OF THE COMMA AFTER ALL OBJETS IN A LIST SCHOOL. SO COMMA AFTER GESTURES (AND ELSEWHERE PLEASE :-)

There's a new release at Zaara's Indian Couture today and I just had to snag it and share it with my Glamourazzi readers. Anjuna comes in three different colors, including the red one I'm wearing here. It's a block printed tie up shirt over a white tank top with cute little white drawstring pants.

Paired with some comfy sandals and pretty jewelry, it's the perfect casual wear for a leisurely day of window shopping or walking along the beach.

Look at your avi, what is he/she, or better yet WHO? SL is supposed to remake us, make us something different. But for most of us our avi is nothing more than our inner self coming out to play with the other inner souls. For us to live out our favorite things in SL, I am going deep for a min to make a point. I am no different with my avi either, so to find a store on SL that is an exact duplicate of the styles that are worn on Payten's RL owner....lol.....Me. The store is AE All Emerican Outfitters.

I was floored to see the store for the first time. When it all rezzed for me i felt like i was standing in my favorite real life store in the mall. It is this shopping experience that adds to the enjoyment of shopping there. You can walk through the racks of clothes, outstanding displays just like you were at the mall shopping. Only it's a little faster, cause you don't have to find your size and no trying on three sizes cause you just ate lunch at the food court, in SL it always fits.......LOL. AE is one of my oldest shopping places for clothes so i thought I'd pick just a few out of my inventory and let you see some of the looks AE offers.

AE combines both nice and casual looks into one. Nice collared shirt but with a pair of jeans, or even throw on some cargo shorts and bam, a look of casual bliss that says mhm look at me. The plaid shorts are very detailed and I really liked my cargo shorts belt that comes on the shorts. The collared shirts look so real because of a prim collar, raising up around your neck just like the real thing.
