I stumbled across Calypso Giano the other day and virtually squealed in delight when I saw the jeans. Designer Calypso Giano has taken the Rock n' Roll to Couture, and he not only does it with style and flair, but he also has the substance to back it up.



I love, love, love the jeans! There are a ton of colors and textures to choose from. I'm wearing the Fray jeans in black here, but you can bet I'll be going back soon for some of the ones with skulls on them. There are a ton of fantasticly rock n rollish tops to choose from as well. I'm wearing the Angel Top. I love how the design wraps around to the back of the shirt. Oh and let's not forget the many layer options, which is always a plus.

Details are an important thing when designing clothing, and Calypso Giano has certainly paid ample attention to them. From the logo on the pockets to the designer's name at the top of the shirt, each piece has a lovely array of fine details that complete the design.

This look allowed me to break out some rarely used but fun as hell acessories like the audio wire bracelet and mixtape necklace from Kari and the V gloves from Vette's. The ETD Janine Hair and the Apnea Tattoos from Sn@tch complete my rocker-chick-meets-couture look.



There's lots to choose from at Calypso Giano. Men's clothing, skins, tattoos, women's clothing, you name it.

Calypso Giano's motto is "Style Your Life," and there's no better way than to go and grab some of these fantastic clothes.

I discovered TRUTH while jumping from SIM to SIM searching for ghosts over Halloween weekend. It's an interesting store, with a vast array of items for both men and women (looks pointedly at Payten). My favorite item, though, is the Spy coat. I love it. I love everything about it; from the black color, to the shiny silver belt, to the fun zipper detail. The bottom of it moves beautifully as you walk and it definitely screams "Spy".

For the TRUTH photo contest, I headed over to AM Radio's Dancing Umbrellas Installation. Cajsa gave me the landmark for this when MDR did their shoot for Runway Magazine. That issue comes out this week, I believe, so be sure to pick up a copy and check out the feature on the ladies of MDR.

The contest rules are that you must wear TRUTH hair, clothing, and shoes so I paired the Spy Coat with the Huntress boots in night. Spy. Huntress. Midnight. Night. I feel like the next Bond girl! The Jennifer hair in Flame was the perfect compliment to the look.

This coat would look wonderful with almost anything you paired with it; i.e. jeans, black pants, etc. I chose to go without for the contest, which certainly works as well. Though you do have the added complication of people asking you if you're wearing anything underneath the coat. Perhaps it's more fun to leave them guessing.

Photo contest or no, I like TRUTH's style. There's a wide selection of hair, clothing, and shoes for both men and women. It's definitely worth stopping by on your next shopping trip around the grid.

Last week, while scrolling through Iheartsl.com, I saw an ad for a limited edition outfit by Riddle. It was made specifically for the Harajuku Fair and was only available for a few days. The outfit, called {After} School Days, was very cute and a little unusual...unusual enough to make me curious to see what else Riddle had to offer. So, of course, I dropped everything and teleported over there.

I was quite impressed. This fun, quirky store has a little bit of everything, and the prices are VERY reasonable. Don't forget to grab some Cotton Candy on the way in. You'll be there awhile so snacking is not a bad idea. Plus, it makes for cute photos.

The designer, Chrystina Noel, is willing to give us bloggers an outfit to review, so I contacted her and asked for the {After} School Days. She was quite nice, and I enjoyed talking with her. Once I had the outfit in my inventory, I couldn't wait to get back to the studio and try it on.

Now, we all know how it is...sometimes you fall in love with something "on the rack" but when you get it home and try it on, you're left feeling a bit let down. Sometimes the quality isn't what you'd hoped for or it's just not flattering to your shape. But then there are the good times, when you get it home, put it on, and the quality is even better than you thought it was going to be. Such is the case with Riddle.

{After} School Days comes with a ton of different options. Three sleeve lengths for the shirt and two different jumper styles. You could wear just the skirt of the jumper if you wanted. You can wear it with or without the tie, or with or without the leg warmers. Depending upon how you piece this outfit together, the look can be anything from casual to office chic. I chose a more office chic look with the 3/4 quarter inch sleeves, the collar with skull tie, and the skully jumper. (I do love my skulls.) Forgoeing the leg warmers and adding the ZHAO Xinful Boots gave the outfit just the right touch of sexiness.

After trying on {After} School Days, I went back to Riddle to see what else jumped out at me. And the first thing I saw was this Argyle Sweater Dress. If you've picked up anything about my style from reading this blog, you're probably shaking your head in confusion right now.

Arcadia? Argyle? Sweater Dress?

Nooooooo.

You'd be right. I don't generally like Argyle or sweaters, let alone a whole dress made out of it. But this one....this one has skulls!

Cute little skulls in the diamonds of the top. I just...I could not resist it. I tried. I really did! But it called my name so loudly that I gave in and bought it. And then, promptly teleported to Princeton University's SIM to snap some photos.

It's so adorable! I love it. LOVE IT! It's cute, sassy, and my inner goth is thrilled with the tiny skulls. I bought it in red and black, of course, but it comes in four different color combinations. This dress is perfect for those first few months of Autumn when it's not too cold, but not hot either. Another thing I bought at Riddle, which I paired with this outfit, is the Tintable Cableknit Stocking Set. It comes with knee socks, thigh highs, and full tights. The texture is amazing, and--you ready--that's right..tintable! I love it when I can change the color of things. For 120L, that's a steal!

I bought somthing else at Riddle, but you'll have to stay tuned to part two of my "Riddle Me This" post to see what that is. I'm going to show you how versatile the clothing at Riddle is by taking this one outfit and making three different looks out of it. Look for that in a few days.

Since Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, I thought I'd skip the lingerie post today and talk about something more appropriate. Though, I suppose one could argue that swimwear is the lingerie of the beach, so on with the post!

One of the reasons I love corsets is that you can take them out of the bedroom. As part of the right outfit, you can wear them almost anywhere. It's all about how you mix and match. Each corset could be worn several different ways, depending on what you pair it with. Let me show you some outfits I came up with using the corsets from my previous post.


This red corset from Toxic just screamed Burlesque in my head the moment I put it on, and that's what I kept in mind while trying to come up with an outfit. Paired with the Dead Naga Mini from Kyoot Army and the stockings and vinyl boots from FallnAngel Creations, I got the great sexy look I was going for. The ETD Charley hair in Scarlet added the perfect finishing touch to what has become one of my favorite club outfits.

Being the Gothy girl that I am, I couldn't resist the temptation to turn the *DG* Innovations Distinguished corset into a goth outfit. I opted for the skirt from my Last Call Femme Fatale dress, added some finishing touches, and I had the perfect outfit for a Gothy night out. But that's just me. You can pair this corset with just about anything. The possibilities are limitless.

I wanted to go casual with the blue corset from Baiastice so I dug through my inventory and found this cute pair of jeans from Cupcakes. I added some wedge heels from Paper Couture and some bangle bracelets to complete the look. But it still wasn't quite finshed. And then I remembered my Rock Star belt from Celestial Studios! I love this belt. It gave the outfit just the right touch of attitude; casual yet still sexy.

Corsets are wonderful in the bedroom, of course, but don't be afraid to take them OUTof the bedroom as well. Mixing and matching to create completely new looks is one of the best things about our extensive SL inventories. In fact, I'd love to see what all you Glamourazzi girls can come up with. While sitting around on my beach earlier this week, I received in inventory offer from Dove Swanson of Long Awkward Pose. Now, I love Dove dearly, but I have to admit that I was a little nervous about what could be in the folder tantalizingly named "Slippery." To my delight (and relief), it was a preview of her newest pose set. I wasted no time and immediately began an impromptu pose-off with my dog...what? she was the only one around!

I loaded the new goodies into my pose stand and my pose HUD(both from Tillie's...both fabulous!) and continued my inventory organization marathon...by the way, I was diligent and managed to trim off 5K by eliminating old notecards, duplicate landmarks, freebie gestures and storing some duplicates that had been lurking around, weighing me down. But I digress...

While putting clothes into their proper location, I came across my G.L.A.M. folder and realized it was woefully empty. Then I remembered that they were having a sale at one point so I sauntered over to see if the sale was still going on and, if not, were there any new releases. Luckily for me, the sale was still on so I loaded up on some great mix and match pieces and fat packs (at 200-300 L$ per pack, how could I pass it up?)

I chose two outfits from this G.L.A.M-apolooza that really seemed to fit the new Slipper pose set from Long Awkward pose.

The first outfit, at the top of the post, is a sleek pencil dress with a great black belt. To keep the look chic, I opted for only my black ChiChi Pumps from Maitreya and my favorite sunglasses as accessories.

The second outfit, a satin corset jumpsuit, just begged for a heavier hand in the accessories department so I added a great flowy belt, a stack of bracelets and a charm necklace. Oh, and check out the shoes! These are Pixel Mode's new Leeza Stiletto. They have a great little platform under the toe and fabulously high heels. I'm especially fond of the shiny, but not overpowering, texture.

Dove released the Slippery pose set this week, so head on over to Long Awkward Pose and pick it up. I'm starting to think this is my favorite of Dove's sets so far...then again, I say that with each new release...she's just that good.

I have no idea how long the sale at G.L.A.M. will continue, but you will want to run there right away and stock up on some great ready-to-wear outfits and inventory must-have separates.

It's Monday and you know what that means: Lingerie. Tonight I thought I'd talk about one of my favorite items of clothing, the corset. Traditional corsets were worn to modify a woman's shape and some do still wear those types of corsets. However, I'll be referring to the ones that have the sex appeal of a true corset without actually being painful to wear.


I looked high and low in this virtual plane we call our second home for a really good corset and after months of searching, I finally found it. Toxic's motto is "Fetish Meets Fashion" and I couldn't agree more. Their Red Silk Corset Set is a MUST have, ladies. It is the most detailed corset I've come across and it looks so authentic you almost want to reach out and touch it. ;) I absolutely LOVE this piece. Speaking of detailed, look at the back of this corset. Isn't it simply stunning? I'm not sure there is anything more beautiful (speaking in terms of lingerie, of course) then a well made corset.

If you don't like red as much as I do, have no fear. It comes in yellow and white as well. Keep in mind that this is a set, so it comes with panties, garter belt, stockings, and shoes as well. How can you go wrong? Toxic also has several other styles of corsets available for you to choose from. Their underbust corsets are quite good if you prefer those.

I stumbled upon this corset from *DG* Innovations while on one of my many shopping excursions with my friend Rhodesy. This is part of a gown and you can buy the whole outfit or just the corset top.

I opted for just the top and in red, again, (are you sensing a color pattern yet?) but it comes in several different colors. Since I only got the corset, I had to hunt through my extensive inventory and come up with the rest of the outfit. Those LoveLace Millais panties go with almost everything, I swear. ;)

Last, but certainly not least, this gorgeous royal blue corset was a free gift I got at Baistaice just a few weeks ago.

Blue is not usually my color, obviously, but I just couldn't resist. I love how shiny it looks...just like satin. For this look, I paired it with the Sonatina panties from a Blaze dress I have (also a free gift) and the ZHAO Chelle shoes in silver. Those, however, were not free.

So now you have seen three of my favorite corsets. On Thursday, we'll take the corsets out of the bedroom when I show you how I managed to create unique outfits using these same three corsets and various other pieces from my wardrobe.

Corsets are sexy and sensual, the creme de la creme of lingerie, and these three are a really good way to start building up that lingerie wardrobe!

It's Monday, so that means it's time for me to show you some of my treasures from another favorite lingerie store of mine: Lovelace.

I bought my first piece of Lovelace lingerie at PixelDolls. My friend Rhodesy Durant saw the Millais set and immediately thought of me. She was right...I absolutely adore it. A few months later, while on a lingerie shopping spree, I decided to check out their main store. I was not disappointed. Pictures of my favorites are behind the jump!

Millais - First Lovelace outfit I ever bought, and I will tell you that this is THE most lovely, sexiest, and cutest bra and panty set in all of SL! Not only is it good by itself, but it's perfect paired with those open-down-to-there tops you might have in your inventory. ;)

And just look at how cute and sexy these panties are! While they leave little to the imagination, the addittion of the red bows just adds a special touch.

Cygne - the second outfit I bought, also at PixelDolls. I love the sheerness of the top, and the panties are almost identical to the Millias. How could you go wrong?

Exotic - I thought about this one for a long while. It comes in several stunning colors, and I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to buy. In the end, it was the elegance of the black and gold color combined with the sexy skimpyness of the panties that won me over. And...another top that you could definitely pair with pants or a skirt in one of those emergency mix and match situations.

Mortal - This called to my inner goth as soon as I walked in the store. It's red and black, which I love of course, but I think what makes me love this outfit is the combination of innocence (lace and bows) with the edgy sexiness of the fishnet and skimpy panties. It's the perfect balance of naughty and nice.

And that is what I love most about Lovelace...the combination of innocence and vamp, sweet and sexy. Of course, the amazing quality of their pieces and the reasonable prices don't hurt either.

This is one store you'll definitely enjoy stopping at.

I had a last minute party to go to at MDR tonight and, of course, I was fretting about what to wear. Thankfully, PixelDolls sent out two new shirts to their VIP group yesterday. If you aren't a member of that group, what are you waiting for? Head on over to their shop and sign up and you too can get the coolest new releases.

One of the shirts they sent over is the Duchess top. It comes in a jacket and glove layer (I know, right?). I was so happy to see that they had given us the black version and I immediately snagged it out of my inventory and put it on. Of course, If you want other colors they have them available in their store. I went and checked it out and it comes in seven other colors. At $125L a piece, I may have to snag this in a few other colors myself.

Duchess is a stunning top with a brocade texture and excellent detailing. The front is open with just a halter paired with long sleeves and an interesting neckline. It can be dressed up or down, which I love about a lot of PixelDolls stuff. Of course, now that I had this fantastic shirt, I had to think fast and find something to wear with it.

After consulting with my own personal fashion guru, my friend Rhodesy Durant, I finally ended up pairing it with the black pants from my InSuspense outfit I bought at Mischief ages ago. I added ZHAO's Xinful Boots in black and a ruby belly piercing to complete the look. In the end, it turned into a very sleek, modern outfit with a touch of old world romanticism thrown in for good measure.
