Speaking of detailed, look at the back of this corset. Isn't it simply stunning? I'm not sure there is anything more beautiful (speaking in terms of lingerie, of course) then a well made corset. Blue is not usually my color, obviously, but I just couldn't resist. I love how shiny it looks...just like satin. For this look, I paired it with the Sonatina panties from a Blaze dress I have (also a free gift) and the ZHAO Chelle shoes in silver. Those, however, were not free. Corsets are sexy and sensual, the creme de la creme of lingerie, and these three are a really good way to start building up that lingerie wardrobe!
It's Monday and you know what that means: Lingerie. Tonight I thought I'd talk about one of my favorite items of clothing, the corset. Traditional corsets were worn to modify a woman's shape and some do still wear those types of corsets. However, I'll be referring to the ones that have the sex appeal of a true corset without actually being painful to wear.
I looked high and low in this virtual plane we call our second home for a really good corset and after months of searching, I finally found it. Toxic's motto is "Fetish Meets Fashion" and I couldn't agree more. Their Red Silk Corset Set is a MUST have, ladies. It is the most detailed corset I've come across and it looks so authentic you almost want to reach out and touch it. ;) I absolutely LOVE this piece. If you don't like red as much as I do, have no fear. It comes in yellow and white as well. Keep in mind that this is a set, so it comes with panties, garter belt, stockings, and shoes as well. How can you go wrong? Toxic also has several other styles of corsets available for you to choose from. Their underbust corsets are quite good if you prefer those.I stumbled upon this corset from *DG* Innovations while on one of my many shopping excursions with my friend Rhodesy. This is part of a gown and you can buy the whole outfit or just the corset top. 
I opted for just the top and in red, again, (are you sensing a color pattern yet?) but it comes in several different colors. Since I only got the corset, I had to hunt through my extensive inventory and come up with the rest of the outfit. Those LoveLace Millais panties go with almost everything, I swear. ;) 
Last, but certainly not least, this gorgeous royal blue corset was a free gift I got at Baistaice just a few weeks ago. 
So now you have seen three of my favorite corsets. On Thursday, we'll take the corsets out of the bedroom when I show you how I managed to create unique outfits using these same three corsets and various other pieces from my wardrobe.

My Newest Lovelace!

It's Monday, so that means it's time for me to show you some of my treasures from another favorite lingerie store of mine: Lovelace.
I bought my first piece of Lovelace lingerie at PixelDolls. My friend Rhodesy Durant saw the Millais set and immediately thought of me. She was right...I absolutely adore it. A few months later, while on a lingerie shopping spree, I decided to check out their main store. I was not disappointed. Pictures of my favorites are behind the jump!
Millais - First Lovelace outfit I ever bought, and I will tell you that this is THE most lovely, sexiest, and cutest bra and panty set in all of SL! Not only is it good by itself, but it's perfect paired with those open-down-to-there tops you might have in your inventory. ;)
And just look at how cute and sexy these panties are! While they leave little to the imagination, the addittion of the red bows just adds a special touch.
Cygne - the second outfit I bought, also at PixelDolls. I love the sheerness of the top, and the panties are almost identical to the Millias. How could you go wrong?
Exotic - I thought about this one for a long while. It comes in several stunning colors, and I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to buy. In the end, it was the elegance of the black and gold color combined with the sexy skimpyness of the panties that won me over. And...another top that you could definitely pair with pants or a skirt in one of those emergency mix and match situations.
Mortal - This called to my inner goth as soon as I walked in the store. It's red and black, which I love of course, but I think what makes me love this outfit is the combination of innocence (lace and bows) with the edgy sexiness of the fishnet and skimpy panties. It's the perfect balance of naughty and nice.
And that is what I love most about Lovelace...the combination of innocence and vamp, sweet and sexy. Of course, the amazing quality of their pieces and the reasonable prices don't hurt either.
This is one store you'll definitely enjoy stopping at.

Let Them Wear Lingerie!

My friend Gidge decided to have an impromptu SL Pajama Party this past Saturday night. I found this idea to be quite fun and immediately planned to attend, but there was one little catch. I don't own any pajamas, in SL or RL. I do, however, own lots of lingerie.
Is there anything more fun and sexy than a good piece of lingerie? Whether you are wearing it for that special someone in your life or just to feel sexy and feminine, lingerie is always a good call. In fact, it's probably my favorite type of clothing in any life.
Because I love it and have so much of it, I thought I'd devote my next few monday posts to showing you where to find the best lingerie in Second Life. Each week, I'll review a different store and show you some of the things I've bought from there.
To kick off this special series, I'll start with one of my favorite lingerie stores, Insolence.
One definition of Insolence is "exhibiting boldness" and I like to think this is what the designers at Insolence had in mind when they created their line. It is, simply put, the best lingerie I've found in SL. It is incredibly detailed and realistic looking. These are pieces you'd want to wear in RL.
The main store is an opulent yet inviting builidng filled with three levels of shoes, skins, and, of course, lingerie. It is one of those stores where I'd probably buy everything in sight if I had the lindens to do so. But alas, I am just a poor photographer so I only have...umm...four outfits so far. (Notice I said "so far", lol)
Let's take a look shall we?
This first set is called "Clara" and it's probably my favorite piece of SL lingerie. The detail is stunning and I love the corset strings up the sides. A lot of the outfits come in several colors and in tattoo friendly versions (jacket and shirt layers so you can still wear those tattoo undershirts). I adore that.

This is "Laure" and, though it might be hard to tell from the photo, it has violet lace all over it. It's really quite pretty and feminine. It's also one of the few things I own in purple.
Scarlett, just as the name brings to mind, is drama. I bought it in black and I love the sheer sides and the keyhole top. It's gorgeous, flirty, and sensual all at once. All of these pieces are extremely affordable, especially given the quality of the pieces. Almost everything I bought came with garters and stockings also, for which I applaud Insolence greatly. Lingerie is so much sexier with garters and stockings.
Now you have seen some of my favorite pieces from Insolence. If you've not been, you really should go and check it out. For those of you with that special someone, you'll be sure to find something that will totally drive them wild. And for those of you (us) without any significant others, who says you need one to look and feel sexy? Throw on some Insolence lingerie, snap some photos if you want, and BE sexy! :)
